Irmb, Thats so true -- and when the pipes are open I try to take it easy on start up (although the Camaro 'barks' when it wakes up, no getting around that) and getting out of the neighborhood until its warmed up, same too when coming home at night, I baby it. After its warmed up, NPP is a little quieter., and I can drive more aggressively. I know I'm in the minority here when I say NPP annoys me at certain RPM ranges; in the 2015 it causes an unpleasant resonance for a brief few seconds as I wind through the gears (I do not lug the car nor do I shift early or late as some suggest), the only way I can reduce the resonance is to shift early. I have read the 2016 is louder than the 2015. Also have read the Camaro was designed to transfer exhaust sound into the cabin (more excitement for the driver). I am amazed that although the pipes aim away from vehicle how much sound actually booms back in to the cabin. Running with closed cutouts reduces the resonance and unfortunately some of the fun too. It all depends on my temperament and mood, tomorrows Friday, pipes open, and I am gonna raise a little hell.
