F80 M3 owner, here.
I sat in a 2016 2SS for the first time yesterday, and I must say that it is much nicer in person than in the pictures online. The overall look is growing on me, and as a two time 2013 5.0 owner, this Gen6 has things that the Mustang just doesn't have. I've grown so accustomed to HUD, and it's pretty much mandatory for me. I'm getting ready to drive it today, and I hope I'm not disappointed. I am making over 500RWHP on 305 Toyo R888s. However, I'm looking for something a little more "raw" and with more "muscle". The M3 scoots, but the overall driving experience is missing some things. Not that it doesn't handle well, or anything like that. I just feel like with some mods, I can make a little more power than I have now and not worry like I do with the M3. I'll be sure to report back. |

Are you testing an M6 or A8 (or both)?

I tested both.
The A8 was nice, plus it works for the wife. She knows how to drive stick, but refuses to do so. I didn't get to rip on it because we just got almost ten inches of rain. Literally. I had to ***** foot around. I narrowed a 2017 car down. It's in Houston. -2SS -Hyper Blue -NPP -MagRide -A8 -Navi -Jet Black -Split Spoke 20s They're bringing it this week, and I'm gunna get to get a better feel for everything. I slid in a small deposit. I love the car, but I definitely know that people are already calling me crazy. |

Thanks, I'm excited.
So, is this decent for being a 2017?. Coming out at almost $45k even for the car with conquest cash and Military Pricing. Also, I was able to get my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge to fit on the charger by pulling up the rubber tray. |

Sounds like a decent price. I paid about $43k OTD (employee discount, brother works for GM) but of course it's a '16 and they go even cheaper now with the 10%
Haven't tried my Note 3 with the charger yet, but I have one of those mega batteries |

I seen some of those cars, but none of them had everything I wanted. I'm also dead set on Hyper Blue. That's a special color.
I have a 20,000 mAh battery, but I usually have those on hand when I know I won't get to be near a power source. I also looked up insurance today. Looks like it's going to be over $400 cheaper per year. |

Hyper blue was a hot seller - as you know it's a premium color this year. It was hands down my favorite as well, blue velvet is too close to black

Yeah? Hoping it gets here soon so that I can at least open it up in some dry conditions. Taking test drives in torrential downpours in a Camaro is just not going to cut it.
I have DCT in my M, and it's stupid fast. Almost like a rocket with the step/one click lowest usable gear feature. It's very stick like... It'll even roll back and fourth on a hill. From what I hear, the A8 is nice. How is it driving in manual mode? Will it pin the limiter, or does it shift for you? |

Put it in drive, double tap the traction control button (competitive mode) and let it rip - I think you will be happy (firmer shifts, auto blip downshifts, holds rpms higher). Flooring it a few times brings up performance mode, which holds rpm higher yet. Probably not as slick as BMW DCT but very good
