Yes, I did! Thanks! A little late but I'll take it. I'll tell you, it wasn't a good feeling going into the following week. Good feeling to have though.

Well hopefully things will even out. You'll probably end up receiving yours before mine. Since it has to travel across the country! Going to check in with Becky on Friday...

Dealer emailed me this morning and said "Your car is on the ground in Florida and should be seeing it at the dealership over the next 72 hours."

I'm excited!!!

We were planning a trip to a friend's house near the dealer (2½ hours away) for Friday/Saturday 9/9-9/10, so I may be spending a few hours at the dealer picking up my baby. Only sad thing is I won't get a shot at getting another Private Offer as they start around the 13th/14th. I was expecting an extra week and doing the deal on the 16th/17th. I wish I could bring the ones from July and August in and say "I think I should get it since it's likely I would get one in September"!

Nice! Make sure to post some pics! I told my dealer that I am anxious as hell. He said they would detail it and get the final paper work ready so that I could pick it up same day it came in! Might even leave work early if it's during the week :-D

OMG I shuddered when I read this. You must read the New Car Acceptance Checklist thread and read the first 2 items under Pre-Delivery. Unless you use this dealer/know the car wash guy as your personal detailer, tell them to just spray off the dirt from the delivery ride! Also tell them not to fugly up the car with their dealer badges - license plate frame is fine as you can always remove that. I have also attached a modified Checklist from the link above with my own additions - things to bring with the trade-in, my paperwork, etc. It may take some of the fun out of the delivery, but you won't kick yourself in the ass later if you find something that you can't say "was there" after you leave.

Go and read Glen e's guide on Detailing for Non Detailers. You are going to take care of your new Camaro yourself most of the time... might as well do it correct from the start. I spend $300-$400/year on both my Camaros to be detailed every 4-6 months, along with all the cleaning I do myself. Our detailer has moved so I'm now going to do the full detailing on both cars myself.

Glen e's guides are based on reducing the time washing your car and spending more time driving in a gorgeous ride! He is available to talk to anytime (he states "it gives an old man something to do"). Download all the PDF's and read through them (most aren't but only 1 page). I PM'd him last night with a couple of questions and he was quick to respond. He has no interest or ownership in the products he uses, and has a few alternatives for local purchases if you don't prefer online shopping.

I spent $302 last night on the proper items using Glen e's guide. $152 was the Orbital Polisher Starter kit which isn't needed as you can do it all by hand, but I figured I'm spending $35k on a new car, what's another $300 to keep it looking like a showroom shine). This weekend Autopia-carcare.com has just about everything needed for 20% off, along with an additional 15% off coupon for Labor Day weekend, plus free shipping on orders over $200.

Hope some of this helps. I will definitely post pictures when I take delivery.

Lol. Way ahead of you. Read that article when I decided to get a new camaro. :-D already told the dealer my requests for when my car comes in. A lot of them were from that list. I just requested that they remove those assembly line marks and such. And I'll still do the entire checklist of checking out the entire car. My 2011 came with this weird metal looking patch thing on the passenger side door. Didn't see it because it was late and raining. I'll take a look check out those sales.

Just received status of 4800... Time to check in with dealer and remind him about my pre-delivery requests. Also placing an order for car wash supplies... my beater between camaros did not require detailing
