Someone had posted a pic of the ProClip C7 mount working on the Camaro and i can tell you that it definitely does not have anywhere to mount. I secured mine by screwing it into the drivers side knee pad. I'll need to replace my knee pad before I sell the car, but at least it's there and secure now.

Voice commands don't work well all the time, especially if your car is louder than stock or you want to curse your text messages. I also run all Waze, Escort Radar, and ALP for counter measures and will be running Dash Commander for vehicle monitoring on my iPhone..

Directions, when you need them, are verbal and the map is presented on the touch screen.

You can access everything if you press the open apps menu button and then go to home screen . But i only use this when parked, i really have no reason to use phone while driving, if i need to know something i can ask google

I tried several of the cellphone holders that have been mentioned in the forums, but they either couldn't hold my Samsung Note 5 or they wouldn't stay stuck to any surface in my car, so I finally found the perfect holder.

The arm is really stiff and doesn't move while I'm driving, but you can bend it to the position that you'd like. Also, the magnet/pivot can be positioned how you'd like it as well, but doesn't move while driving and the magnet is able to hold my Samsung Note 5 w/a case on it w/o any issues.

This is great, thank you for this post. Now that I've got my radar hardwired, this is perfect. I'm going to look into one of these for my 6s.

I use the iOttie Easy OneTouch 3. It has a suction cup mount that works on my dash perfectly. It also has an extendable arm. It's a little bulky, but works well.

The magnet is on the car mount, not on the phone (you stick a metal plate to your phone or case) and from everything I've read is that the magnet won't hurt your phone or anything else. So far the magnet hasn't messed my phone or anything up.

I do not know why you all hate on the apple maps... Did it suck when it first launched a couple years ago? Yes, but since its improved ten fold and is great.

To the mount question, This is a dilemma, and one that even after seeing these solutions I will probably hold out and see what pro clips offers. I do not like things stuck to my dash, or protruding out from the cig lighter. Sad part is I took part in the camaro owners survey when they were designing the 6th gen, and I know many of us from these boards were very clear in that survey we wanted a place to mount / place our cell phones. That wireless charging pad I fear was their answer. They shoulda done a focus group. Its a crappy solution. /sigh. For now my cup holders will suffice.
