I found that F43 (AFM valves) makes a good switched power source. The wipers fuse is always powered so as you say they must be switched elsewhere.
Thank you very much for that tip. I will update the installation instructions with that info.

Will you be offering a D1 model for the 6th gen NPP cars? I would be interested in the "always closed" function, as I'm almost certain that even with the car set in "stealth mode" the flaps are still open for initial start up then close soon after ignition. To me this defeats the purpose, I'm interested in keeping the flaps closed to avoid a loud start up. This would also be handy if even stealth mode opens up under certain high throttle applications. Some tracks have noise regulations, the always closed function would then again be a benefit.

NPP Stealth - Valves CLOSED

I noticed that was true of other modes, but stealth mode starts quietly, so I layed down and watched and got video while someone started the car. In stealth mode it closes the valves while the ignition is turning the engine over but before it "lights" (pressurizing the injectors, so I've heard). By the time the engine comes to life, they are closed.

Being able to switch between stealth mode and valves open at any time is awesome!

The Gen6 Camaro does not use vacuum actuated valves as did the Gen5. Gen6 valves are electrically operated. And to further complicate things, they are not simply on or off. The valves (same as on corvette c7) use Pulse Wave Modulation (PWM) to vary the voltage between zero and full voltage. This provides the capability to partially open the valves, should the engineers want to do so.

Now if one deprives the valves of electrical continuity, i.e., zero volts, the valves will open. In theory, if you send full voltage to the valves, they should close. But I have not validated this. When I have the opportunity to gain access to a Gen6 with NPP, I will see if my hypothesis is correct and I can then develop the kit for the Gen6

Steve

Awesome! Thanks for recording this! Very informative!

So it looks like a 3 way controller may not be needed. The only other thing I wish I could find out is if stealth mode opens up the valve under any other condition. I know GM says to not run the car in stealth mode at a track day, but I have a hard time seeing the harm in it. I'm sure performance may be slightly decreased, but if it helps me pass a sound restriction and still allows me full throttle ability I'll do it.

I might try to capture a video similar to this with a bumper mounted gopro to monitor if the valve ever opens while in stealth mode.
