I'll admit I stall. I stall my 1LE all the time. The clutch in this car is junk. I really hope it's better for you 6th gen guys.

I've been driving for years and rarely stall until this damn cars hill assist. Every time it kicks on I freak out and kill it. Fun times.

If you buy a manual you will eventually stall it, doesn't matter who you are. With that said in the last 3 months of ownership I only stalled it once and the funny part is that I stalled it when hill start assist was activated. It took me a little to figure how to start from a complete stop on a hill with my new 2SS. The hill assist throws loop in the whole process.

I still hate hills. Traffic isn't that bad (on flat ground). I took it to the drag strip a few days ago too. I still need to get comfortable taking off in a hurry.

This makes me feel a lot better. I currently drive a automatic '12 SS and hopefully within the next month ill be in a '16 SS manual. Manual looks more fun to me and I don't know how to drive it just yet. Super nervous but I feel a lot better now

You're not alone. The only manual experience that I had going into it was a motorcycle. Getting on the road and driving is the best way to learn. If you're like me you will stall in traffic and have people beep at you. First few weeks can be rough.

New GM's are probably one of the easiest manuals i've driven, I have yet to stall the Camaro, but i've been driving manuals regularly since i was about 12. It usually takes an abrupt stop, or while adjusting in a parking spot. It is nice to have the hill assist, since we have the electric parking brake so it is not there for assistance on hills like older vehicles.

Last fall i actually used a C7 to teach someone how to drive a manual for the first time, and they now drive a manual every day. I love how these clutches feel.

I am having hard time teaching my Fiance, she seems to just get so frustrated and each time i take her out she seems to have forgotten everything ive told her.

Glad the OP is doing so well! Driving a manual is indeed satisfying.

I remember the first time I ever drove a stick...

Well, it was the first time I had driven *anything* but I had been paying attention to how others drove.

My cousin decided I should learn to drive, so he took me down to an industrial park one weekend day and taught me how to drive. Oh, it was his 1962 Corvette convertible. Black w/red interior. 327 w/360(?) HP. 4-speed, shaffer clutch, heavy throttle spring. He was such a good teacher that I was starting, stopping, turning, and shifting very smoothly in short order. I loved it. I was 7. Not a typo.

The following Monday the kids on the school bus called me a liar when I told them I drove a Corvette over the weekend.

Try having your son learn manual on A WRX. All wheel drive cars are a bitch to learn on! If you can launch a AWD car with a manual, everything else is a piece of cake!
