Had mine flashed/updated today and CarPlay is finally working correctly. Well, at least on the 15 minute ride home it did. But, I did notice it changed the background screen that shows as a song is played off the iPhone.

Hi there... My first post here... I have a 2017 1lt I got only 3 months ago. Took it in on Wednesday for the 90 day check up, and when I got it back the carplay didn't pop up when I hooked up my iPhone. Not saying it had anything to do with the maintenance stop. I went through all the steps to try to get it to start. Used the actual iPhone cord, restarted my phone, etc., but still a no go. After helping my son move all day on Thursday, I finally had the chance to stop by to get it looked at. The concierge girls (who initially showed me how to work the screen/radio) were convinced it was the cord. When she used hers to hook it up and it didn't work, she was surprised to say the least. Had to end up leaving it with maintenance. They worked for hours on it today and they have no clue why it isn't working. The phone powers on, but when touching the projection app, it says the USB doesn't recognize the device. I guess all the maintenance guys tried it out, all of them convinced they could figure it out, but nope. They're ordering a new USB port. Hopefully that will work (it better! lol). I never realized how much I used this app, especially for the maps and having it read my texts to me. Really sucks without it.

I took mine to the dealer and they updated the radio firmware and updated the USB. Now Apple carplay works perfect
