The parts dept at my GM dealer has the part number for the intake and will call me when available.

I would certainly consider a genuine GM CAI first, but I'm betting install and flashing the computer along with the parts will be super expensive. I wouldn't be surprised to see $600 + for cost.
When I have installed bolt on parts in the past, I understood that GM could deny a warranty claim if the aftermarket part was proven to have caused the failure. In the case of their CAI, I think you could install it and have your dealership flash the computer separately. I did that with a GM navigator in my 06 C6 Corvette. they had no problem flashing the computer to make it compatible with my car. You had to marry the radio/nav unit to the car because of anti-theft protection. That process cost me $135 and I can't believe that procedure would be much different than the radio deal. I am waiting for my car to be built so I might as well start shopping for the mods I want to do...lol.

My idea is grabbing the Chevy intake first then the AFE intake (given the R&D and #s are looking good which knowing AFE, it will be...). |

Is 8-10 HP increase worth $400+? What does a GM tune consist of?

I thought I would have bought a CAI before my car came in, but it's here so I need a CAI now. I will wait until the GM price is listed and if its in the $400 range then I will get it. I have a feeling it will be closer to $500?

FYI, Summit Racing can't sell the CAI in California.

No one can. Not CARB certified and the Nazi state of Cali won't allow the sales of it. Can't get catless exhaust parts either.
