I'm not saying it doesn't have some performance impact, it's just negligible for the vast majority of buyers who aren't aiming to shave 2 seconds off a lap time. That's not an apples to apples comparison. A person isn't a car... That's like saying "hold a weight over your head and run from 0 to 60." Not gonna happen lol.

if you've ever had a sunroof before and like it, then go for it. my chevy trailblazer has a sunroof and I have never used it. I like it, but never use it, so its definitely an option I know I can live without. its up to you and personal preference.

Agreed. Most people wouldn't notice the difference. I understand that its exagerrated but it's an "educational illustration"

I have a sunroof in my car now and I definitely don't want one. I can use that $ to improve performance instead of rob it.

Even if it is 40 pounds, that's not going to make a difference in performance. Gasoline weighs 6lbs/gallon. Is your acceleration and handling that different on an empty tank?

Kilograms matter when you're in the F1 or NASCAR and hundredths of a second mean the difference between first and 10th place. Do you plan on entering your Camaro in the Daytona 500?

ABSOLUTELY! I will give you that it may not be noticeable to some but it certainly is a difference. I can definitely tell you when I'm pushing a car to the limit, I feel it. You can argue the sensation that you personally feel, but you can't argue the fact that it is a difference.

I'm kind of shocked that you guys are so quick to act like an additional 40lbs here or there is nothing when most of you were screaming about how huge the weight savings on the Gen6 was. You think they shaved excess threads off bolts to save weight only if it was going to save them enough weight for it to be noticeable? I bet all the bolts that were shaved saved them much less than 40lbs. Every little bit helps guys. If you don't push a car to its limit then you probably won't be able to notice a lot of things.

I notice a difference in gas levels in a sub 3000lb car. Gas is also moving weight.

Yep. I can really feel it in my 1980 MGB. Even an small tank is very noticeable if it has no baffling to prevent sloshing.
