Have to agree that the red interior looks perfect with the summit white. Love the red stitching. I imagined that the red would be over the top but it's not at all. Beautifully accents the interior. Hope khalihari looks close to that good with the white.

Can't wait to hear all your impressions and to see more photos. Again congratulations. Drive safe and enjoy!

Edit: is it because it's a personalized plate? You can transfer it to a new car?

Yes.

I had the DMV swap my personal plates off my old car, so now I just need to have the dealer register my new car with the plates I have. It's fairly simple.

Yes it makes sense. I've never had personalized plates so I wasn't aware how it works. Thanks guys.

Now we just need to hear from Lovephenom!

Two people have reported picking up their cars the past couple of days and then we don't hear from them again.

My theory: 2016 Camaro's are eating their owners. It's the only explanation. TR6 are you ok?

Good Evening & sorry for the delay. Again, thank you everyone for your support. The wait is worth it. Here's my 24hr review. I'm going to answer the questions already asked & then I'll go into my own rant.

alfonsoj23:
The interior is awesome!! Hey did they have any ss there? Tell us how it looks in person? Much better than the pics like everyone else says??

They did not have an SS just my 2LT & an 1LT Red Hot. I've seen the SS in person twice already & they're both equally attractive. Pictures do not do this car justice. IMO I like LT fascia better but I love the SS hood preferably with body color nostrils.

GTIanZ28:
Woohoo! Congratulations. Glad to hear your wait is over! Is this the first forum member V6 delivery?

I see that they installed the front license plate bracket. Does it just snap into the grill or did they have to drill holes?

I'm not sure but I know I own the first 2016 Chevrolet Camaro in Western New York. Even though a couple dealers in the area have them in stock. They haven't been sold yet.
The front license plate bracket is attached by holes drilled into the grill. Not the body collar part but the black part. The rear license is attached by holes drilled into the bumper.

Zack46:
I Like the fact the seats are still covered with plastic. New CAR smell, New car EVERYTHING!! My sincere Congrats!!!!

Seats were stilled covered. My dealer was very busy this weekend due to end of the month sales & black friday deals so my salesman had my car stored in a garage immediately on arrival so customers weren't picking at it but it was had to keep the dealership employees off of it. The car was the talk of the dealership. Everyone wanted to see it & everyone came out of the dealership to hear me drive off. I actually had to crack the window on my way home because I was getting a headache. My body was craving fuel since I was too excited to eat all day & the new car smell was making me nauseous but I LOVE new car smell. After I had eaten, I wasn't bother. Zack I know you've been waiting a little longer than I have but the wait is completely worth it. When your car comes in you forget about everything & you just want your keys. Continue reading to discover just how awesome our 2LT Camaro's really are.

joemosfet:
Neat! Congrats! I like that interior, and I like that the seats have fart protectors on them :P

Lol. Yes the fart protectors remained on the vehicle as it made it's way through the detail shop.

Scrooge:
For a second I thought he had a gold Bluetooth ear piece on but then i realized those were just really huge earrings*
Congratulations by the way.

Lol. No Bluetooth, just my jesus pieces. Thank you.

In NY our inspection & registration are on the window not the plate so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. You have the option to transfer ANY plates & registration to another vehicle which I'm happy I was able to do. My personalized plates are from 2009. The new NYS plates are blue & orange. I think the older plates look better with the all white Camaro.

My Review:
This is the 2nd new car I have purchased. My first being my 2011 Malibu that I traded in for my Camaro. My first time driving a Camaro as well as owning one. My 2nd V6, my first being a used 1999 Malibu. We know the car is awesome so I'm not going to dwell on my likes but I will talk about the features I've grown to enjoy in 24hrs & my very few dislikes. I will also continue to answer any personal questions one might have.

Dislikes:
The wireless charger pad can't fit any modern size fine that has the capability. I know these cars are in development years in advance but it feels overlooked. No rear seat space. I bought the car because 99.9% I don't have passengers which makes the space useless but it would be good to have the option. Only small children fit comfortably back there. There's no center console space & limited storage space throughout the vehicle. I feel as though the center console could be deeper. I drive with my hand on the shifter & I feel as the my arm drops off of the arm rest due to cup holder cutout. The seat also does not recline as far as I'd like. I also dislike that there isn't a main cabin light. So in the night time, all you have is the 2 front lamps with the backseat completely dark.

Likes:
I am 5'6 170lbs & with my seat in it's preferred position, I have no visibility issues what so ever. The aggressive humps over the gauge cluster are very attractive to me. I don't think it's bulky at all, it's very masculine. The attention I have gotten has been astonishing. At the red light, everyone is breaking their necks to see what the hell is that thing. Cars behind me left ample space as I felt as though they were afraid to hit me. 0-60 from the red light left jaws open & it seemed as if everyone else were going in slow motion. As I cruised down Main st. in track mode, the NPP growled. I took off passing a local barber shop & all the fellas ran outside to see what is was, then jumped & cheered as I flew pass them. This Camaro is nasty & I'm only talking about a V6. The car feels like there's no restrictions & it wants to be unleashed. I'm a younger more tech savvy guy & that's a big reason I bought this car. The technology is amazing. I love the passive locking system where if you leave the car with the fob still inside, it beeps 3x's & the lights come on. When you leave the car with the fob, it locks the doors automatically & when you approach the car, the doors auto unlock. The 9-speaker Bose system sounds fantastic, even though I had the radio off most of the time as I listened to my performance exhaust snap crackle pop. The interior lighting is exciting. The navigation on the mylink system is very nice. At night time, your interior's color is neutralized so the spectrum lighting adds a nice personal touch. As I gave test rides to family members, I asked them to choose their favorite color & then once the magic happen. The illuminated doorsills seem vibrant yet durable. The soft touch materials are very luxurious. The seat belt buckle is covered in suede & the door panels are nice & plush. The heated seats & steering wheel really helped warm up these cold Buffalo days & nights As an employee I kept asking myself in amazement, "This is a Chevrolet?"

My red hash mark decals, RS wheel caps & illuminated bowtie has not come in yet. The body color splash guards are in but I'm awaiting all LPO items to knock it out all at once. I did order the red knee bolsters but the black knee pads with red stitching looks very luxurious so I will not be accepting them. I love my new car. The break in is the same as the SS so I'm taking it easy for the first 1,500mi which shouldn't be difficult because I barely do highway driving & live only 8 mins. from the engine plant.

As a GM employee & rank & file UAW member, I personally want to thank each & everyone of you for your purchase & brand loyalty. I know it may mean a little more coming from the people who get their hands dirty. It's consumers like you, that support the American worker & keep the American dream alive & attainable for my family & I.

*Sorry for the sideways photos.

Thank you for the very thorough write up.

White bowtie on back! Did you do that yourself? I really like that! I ordered the black bowties but, I might need to rethink that and paint them white. Looks good!

Edit: looks like rubber / all weather floor mats. Did you order those? I didn't see that option. They aren't the ones that come stock are they?

Thanks! I used 3M DI-NOC White Carbon Fiber Vinyl to cover the emblem. I'll do the same in the front once my illuminated bowtie comes in. My floor mats are very old. I picked them up from Autozone two vehicles ago. Lol. I'm ordering the all weather Camaro floor mats once they become available.
