Plenty of people will undoubtably like the changed features on the 2014. I personally don't and unless it grows on me, I won't be purchasing a new one any time soon. Maybe when the gen6 is released.
I get it about the tail lights being more "heritage".. but to me they look a bit dated on this modern classic.

I think it looks sharp. Need to lose the shark fin antenna tho. Looks out of place and makes the rear look too busy.

I'll be really interested to see how history views the change. I think the closer you are to the original concept, and the original Bumble Bees, the more valuable the cars will be at auction. Just my opinion. But my guess is these new design changes will be viewed as less desirable at auction in the years to come.
Some little boy who watched Transformers will one day be a CEO and pay a million dollars for the original Bumble Bee, just my opinion. |

I didn't really like the Terrain when it first debuted but there's an Ashen Gray Metallic SLE-1 sitting in my garage right now. Opinions change. As for the hand gesture, not excusing it but engineers from pretty much every manufacturer does it. I think it's pretty much a game to them now.

I don't see the problem with the refresh, I think it's great!
... I didn't fall in love with the first refresh pics I seen on the chevy site, but once I seen the 1LEs I knew I had to get one. The front fascia is friggin awesome. I see most people have complaints with the taillights, but I like them. Especially in the dark! Both front & back ends have a mean stare to them ... Love it!!!

Well, if you're going to use logic and common sense you're going to have a tough time around here....

Love the look. Only thing I'd change is the wheels. Not a fan of that style rim.

lol the original design of the 5th gen looks mean from the front but the new ones look like they're bitter and mad at the world. But who can blame them, right?

One question: have you seen one in person? You may want to withhold judgement because I sit at shows and watch people who are pleasantly surprised once they see it in person.

To be honest I haven't, and I hope it is better in person. However, I have watched hours of video and looked through many many pictures. I can say the reveal of the concept was instant without needing to see it in person. Maybe I'm wrong and the redesign looks great in person but is lacking photogenically. Nothing I've seen would have me looking for a redesigned 5th gen and that tells me they didn't improve it from my perspective.
