Looks too round and soft. I like the current model much, much more.

And the Ridgeline is a rip off of the Avalanche.

That new Colorado is fugly! Looks like a Malibu front end on it.

New info on the Colorado and the GM version of this truck posted up on MT today. They are testing versions here that must be different from the Global version (since its all wrapped up.

Couple things: 1) This truck had better not look like the global one. Yes I know it is getting design "tweaks" but I hope it is a fairly substaintial change b/c that truck does NOT cut it in the looks department. Looks like a jacked up Malibu, which itself is going under the knife again for an emergency redesign. If not, hopefully the GM version looks good.

2)This thing better be shooting for GOOD MPG. (Obviously that is the goal right??) But enough to set it apart from the fullsize trucks. Otherwise, there is no point. 30+ mpg with the base engine, and high 20s with the V6 (whether its the 3.6 or 4.3) Unfortunately, these trucks are no longer small trucks, but more like the size of full size trucks from the 80s and 90s. What is important, but seems not to be noticed by the manufacturers (or at least not enough to care about) is many people that want these trucks (like myself) don't have a real use for a full size truck that can haul a bull dozer...but I do have a need for one to haul around small things, do small work chores, or for instance haul my MX bike, so a small truck makes perfect sense for me (which is why one of my two vehicles is a Ford Ranger). These things are getting a bit too big, which makes them cost about as much as a full size, and the mpgs usually aren't much better.

Here's hoping GM can pull off a success with this small truck and revive the small truck market. But I have a feeling it won't.

I'd definitely buy a new Colorado. Looks pretty cool! The current [old] one is sub-par, and I have no real use for a full-size truck at this point in my life.

I don't like the roundness. It does seem to be a nice truck, though.

I don't know much about exterior design tweaks but GM is targeting fuel economy with these trucks.

That might explain all the curves. I think they'd sell very well if there was a significant spread in fuel economy between the Silverado and the Colorado.

I was afraid that resurrecting this old thread would mean that some people would overlook the fact that those shots are not the same as the US version...hence why I posted those new spy shots. Oh Wells. I'm looking forward to learning more about them. Any ideas when we will see these revealed? Guessing a year from now.

The new pics shoe what looks to me like a different nose. I suppose they could be putting crap under the camo cover to make it look different, but it still looks a lot different to me.

Need a more muscular look. After all, trucks originally were the working mans vehicle. Big power, big tires...just plain BIG.

Wait...this is a mid-size truck. Oh...make it muscular anyway.

Not if they're going to base a new SUV off the platform!
