Can someone give me some details? I'm looking into upgrading to a SS and would like to see what deals there are.

Thanks!

Just called Champion Chevy and they quoted me 32,700 for the configuration I wanted and would not be able to tack on the college discount on top of it. At least they beat out Hewlett. What do you guys think?

32,700 w/o TTL
2011 VR 1SS 6-speed
Connectivity package
Black stripes
RS Package

You'll NEVER get the best deal on the phone. You need to go there, ready to buy (financing preapproved, know what your bottom line price is, etc.).

Assuming you want to buy a $34,000 MSRP car for $31750 or about $34150 out-the-door...

Find the car you want, test drive it, then go inside and ask how much. Then, when they bring you a out-the-door quote (for say $36000) you tell the you'll buy on the spot for $33500 out the door. Otherwise, you've got two other dealers to visit with the same offer before you pay any more. They'll always take your (signed) offer in writing to their manager and talk sports for 15 minutes before returning with a counter of, say, $35,500. That's when you thank them and get up to leave. They will not let you leave... Warning, I've had this go on for over 5 hours before getting the price I wanted - they can drag it out be having you talk to higher levels of management. But in the end you need to be willing to walk out - that's the only time you'll see their best offer.

Warning, if you agree on a price for the car, say $31,800, you need to watch for additional closing costs (doc fees, prep fees, etc.). Better to negotiate the out-the-door price (car + 6.25% tax + $300-400 title and misc fees).

Pit the dealers up against each other too. I told mine that the dealer the next town over quoted me a price $500 less then they did and I managed to get the car about $3k under sticker after the price match and student discount.

I ended up pitting the dealers against each other and so far the lowest I got to so far is 32,715 w/o TTL for the options I want. I managed to go from 33,200 at the Georgetown dealer to 32,715 at another. I'm going to try to negotiate a little further if I have to. Again this is for :

2011 1SS Manual Transmission
RS Package
Convenience & Connectivity package
Black stripes

I'm going to watch out for those fees.

Oh yeah!!

If it weren't for BeckyD, I wouldn't be getting my 2011 vert. She will help clear out the FUD (fear, uncertainty & doubt) that comes from dealing with most others!

Im negotiating for a black 2SS/RS convert right now, called a guy in Dallas and "the best he could do" was 40992, then called a guy in Houston, he beat it by a 1000, then called back up to Dallas and hes "looking into losing money for me" Gowd these sales guys are retarded, I really hate dealing with them. I wish we could order directly from GM, cut out these A-holes.

Anyone else hear of a better deal than 39999+TTL on a black 2SS/RS?

Wicked. Sad that I've also found this to be par for the course. Very few people want to do the right thing, yet they are right there to take your money - as much of it as they can get you to give up. Almost nobody cares about getting repeat sales 5, 10, and 15 years from now, they want to go for the whole enchilada once and kick us out the door!

That's why I was so excited when I found Becky! Honest information and pricing.

Is that a 2SS/RS coupe or vert? Verts can be had for around 42k +/- with no add'l options, and since coupes are about 4k to 5k less, you can probably do better than 39999.

I didnt even bother going to any dealer in my area....except for last august they had a used 2010 2ss/rs iom, ground effects, sunroof, back leather, ls3 m6, with 6,000 miles, and 21" wheels...they wanted $45K...right there i knew they were scammers.

So i skipped myself more headaches and went straight to Becky D. and never looked back!!!

Best decision ever

Ended up getting a pretty good deal. MSRP at 4290, Invoiced at 41100(so they said), and bout at 40300. Its a Red 2SS/RS convert, 6 SPD, 6.2LTR, with the 20 inch polished rims.

I think I did ok. I wanted to get them down into the 30k range, but they wouldn't budge off this price.

The USAA discount is very tempting but I'm going to try to see what I can get on my own. I'm going to try to get around the 32,300 range if possible w/o any discounts because I don't qualify for the college or the USAA.

Regardless I will be shopping around Texas first to see what I can get down to and then perhaps if I am unsatisfied with the prices around central Texas I may give Becky a call.
Hey man, if your "Father" is a vet you can register for USAA! Get on the website, register and utilize the AWESOME USAA AUTO CIRCLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont waste your money or time until you do this!! You will get Below invoice on 99% of cars and without a doubt on a chevy.

If any member of your family has ever served you are eligible to register for USAA thus using all of there awesome services!!!!!!!!!!
