When I was a little kid I was obsessed with aircraft, and pretty much watched Top Gun on steady loop haha

even when I was 8 it bothered me that there was no such thing as a MiG-28 Even if it's terrible, I will watch it haha

They didn't seem to mind for Transformers.

I wouldn't mind a Top Gun 2 as long as its done well. Despite this real life record of being crazy, Tom Cruise has a mostly positive track record for action packed movies.

ha ha good question. terrorists don't have jet fighters, and even if they did hollywood wouldn't touch that. probably make the villains some blonde haired neo nazi's.

It's a little late for a sequel.

What is up with Hollywood today? Why do we suddenly have this need to remake classics, like The Karate Kid? What is wrong with a simple trilogy being left alone, like Indiana Jones? There's a disappointing lack of creativity these days.

Because people in general are dumb enough to go spend money and watch these sequels. As long as they can make money doing it, they'll keep butchering storylines one movie franchise at a time

True and the new karate Kid took place in china, so it should have been the kung Fu kid.

Looking back on top Gun it was a bit cheesy and unrealistic, BUT!, it did have F-14's in it which trumps the crappy parts of that movie.

i heard today that "he'll make an appearance." probably have Shia Lebouf in the lead. LOL
truthfully there have always been remakes. they were remaking movies in the 50s, 60s and 70s. but yes, it is weird to see stuff in our lifetime remade.
