Definitely gets a lot of attention. Mostly thumbs up and raving about the stock exhaust sounding good but there was one occasion a few pants sagging punks walked by bashing it saying the 5th gen Camaro was way cooler with transformer stickers and emblems and that it was lighter and more powerful.

Yes this. I didn't get too much in the gen5, probably because it wasn't half as loud as my 1LE. Within the first week I had a FRS, like 326 civics, a couple ram trucks, and a Mustang GT that literally tried to race me every stop light for like 7 miles. I gave him a little crackle on the exhaust on the first one and just let him pull away haha.

I get constant looks at gas stations and what not. Today I had an M4 at a gas station checking it out hard. When I went inside he did like a half of a lap around the 1LE just looking. He never said anything to me though!

The best of times was the Summer of 2009 with the 5th gen. There were very few new
Camaros on the road back then. That's when these cars were drawing crowds. Even after
8 years I still get looks and thumbs up now and then with my mostly stock SS but nothing
like when they were the new sensation.

I get lots of looks and one woman at a corner store i frequent apparently asked the gas attendant if it was a Ferrari .... Not a joke. Clearly she does not know her cars!

Get compliments regularly at gas stations and local stores that loud NPP exhaust gets lots of looks too when i take off at the light. I have had several just take off thinking im racing them due to the louder exhaust at stop lights. There really isnt much on the street that can compete with the SS that isnt modified pretty heavily or way more expensive.

Driving home after taking delivery of mine, there was a compact Nissan that kept passing me and then slowing due to traffic, or so I thought. I looked over once and this lady in the passenger seat was literally pressing her face up against the window looking at the car as they passed me yet again. We finally stopped side by side at a traffic light and both the passenger and driver were stretching to look. Finally I could read the passengers lips and she said "it's a Camaro!"
