Could have been snow or ice on the car.

Yeah same here, had tons of scratches and scapes/scuffs. Took a few hours, some compound, and a buffer, but I got all of them out. I took delivery at night, foggy and crappy out, so I didn't notice them as well.

I went down to see the car after they said they thought they had it done. Overall the car looked night and day different. All the spots in the images I posted had been resolved. Some of the spots not pictured still had issues and they are working to address them now while we still have sun light.

I also pinged them on my headliner issue and they compared mine to another new car that just arrived and agreed it wasn't right and order a new headliner.

Twist of events... not fixed and looks to have more swirl marks. Some areas are 100% addressed, but other areas under good lighting are not and have not been addressed. Had a phone call with my dealer about it and they stated they will make it right.

Let the fun begin... #MostSarcasticPissedOffVoiceEver

I have a feeling this car is going to be in the shop for awhile.

That is total BS. So much for the QC part of the hold.

Seriously, that does suck! They owe Sledge something pretty significant, besides making car 100% right!

Come on GM, you need to do better than this!

I snapped a bunch of images of the car after I got home... I swear to God I couldn't see any of this outside when I was at the dealer, but the sun was going down when i stopped by the first time. I pointed out areas that still had issues and when I picked it up it was dark.

Full album of images I could take with my garage lighting.... http://imgur.com/a/BaR9C

Swirl marks and major scratches:

Hazy clear coat:

WTF is this stuff?

You can see a odd l shape pattern where the issues don't show up.

Trunk lid drive side:

Odd gash marks that appeared after the supposed fixes:

You can see where the paint looks great up top and the crazy over spray looking crap all over:

Did they paint these parts together or something?

Those "bubbles"...Thats NOT overspray, nor in the clear. I mentioned its UNDER the clear and NEVER will come out. Sorry, but as I stated earlier, there is contamination under the clear. The car needs to be completely wet sanded to get down to the color, then re cleared. ONLY way they will fix this. At this point with your issues, I would recomend GM replacing your vehicle. This is ridiculous. Good Luck, hope things work out.

It's not an issue with the entire car at this point. Everything is focused to the hood and the deck lid. We will see how things go today.

GM reached out to me via Twitter today. Not sure what that means, but it seems they are doing something.

Use it to your advantage. Tell them a replacement vehicle is only acceptable at this point. The paint AND headliner issues are major if you ask me. GL.

Let's not get overly dramatic here with this being a "major" issue.

It's the hood and the trunk (deck) lid which are both swappable parts, they are not going to give a new car for that, nor should they. As for the headliner, same deal swappable.

Again I'll ask the OP, why did you take delivery with the paint in this condition?
