Hey, I noticed the dealer listed your car around Sept 9th. I had called back then when they told me it was presold. If I check cars.com it says it's been listed for 9 days, so they must have relisted it on Sept 23rd for the 94k sticker. Next day they adjusted the price to match market demand to 97k. If you go to their website, they added another 2k onto of that. So 99k Are they giving you problems on the car or is everything rolling along? Was hoping I'd be able to get my hands on one just like it. No luck yet.

It's the old bait and switch. My car is still in transit, I have a bill of sale for it, yet it's listed as "Available, Reserve now!" on 4 different Chevrolet sites that are all owned by the same core group. I was concerned so I had my buddy call in to a couple of the dealers listing the car and offer to put down a $10,000 deposit on it. They said sorry, that specific one was sold BUT they do have this other 2SS he would probably really like. I think they leave the ads up to get more calls or possible other leads on cars customers may settle for. When you start googling serial numbers it's amazing how many places the same car gets listed. |

No issue that I know of. I just got a message from the inventory manager that "my" car is on it's way from Lansing. It will be here tomorrow or Wednesday. I will post here what number it is....I'm curious since it was built on 9/5.

Question for you all: How are you protecting your CE, I am looking at using the XPEL stealth wrap and contemplating only wrapping the front over the whole vehicle?

I'm taking mine immediately for XPEL stealth PPF on the whole front, the roof, the trunk lid and the rear rocker panels and behind the rear wheels. In other words, everything but the doors mostly. Then ceramic coated.
Separate note..... my #52 didn't come with the fuel door with carbon fiber inserts. Dealer says it on national backorder and may be awhile. Did you get your door?

I was told they send you the posters and watch to your home. When I bought my Z06, the poster came in the mail. Regarding the fuel door.... Seems ridiculous that they planned this CE package but didn't have the friggin parts. I'd like to have the correct "carbon fiber like" ambient lighting frame on the door but mine is silver like a regular ZL1. I'd like GM to replace this eventually but not sure they will.

Mine is supposed to be made the week of 10/16. I am reading here about the ceramic coating. We had this done on a matte finish on my son's car and it does give it a little bit of a "sheen". Still, we are super careful with soap, washes, etc. That said, is there any worry that this hurts value for the collector's edition itself? I am also nervous about parts being swapped out and then not getting them.....reading about these door spears and fuel door. My dealer is 120 miles away. I have never experienced this. What do you do? Try to get in writing that it will be replaced? Appreciate thoughts if others have experience.

My #52 of 350 has the silver door spears.....and I would rather have the dark ones, but I'm not sure there is much recourse here as GM stated, in early images of this car, that actual details may vary on production models. Furthermore, the #1 at the Detroit Auto Show was considered pre-production. Sounds like a copout.
My fuel door came in today and was installed. I take delivery Monday since I'll be out of town this weekend. It's sitting on my dealership's floor. The only thing now that I won't receive is the cargo net I ordered. I have decided, after looking at this car cleaned and in the showroom, I'm going to have the whole thing PPF'd and ceramic coated. I would just feel much better protecting that awesome looking paint. ...and it truly does look much better in person that in the pics I've seen.
