I'm a corvette guy. I've owned 5 of them in the last 17 years. My ZLE purchase was the first time breaking away from the brand. I would rather have my ZLE when choosing between that and a C8. I don't care much for the styling of the base model C8 stingrays. The ZLE's look so much more aggressive, and I think the are a better performer all around as well. Now when the ZR1 or Grand Sport or whatever they are gonna call them come out, that may change. If they add some of the cool looking aero and higher performance from the C8.R that could be the icing on the cake!

Id go for a Zl1 with a stick. More fun IMO, flappy paddles are boring. Plus, would you really buy a C8 with the 30-40k mark-up?

Thanks.... yeah lucky for me theirs not a C8 around i could test drive. I feel as though in 10 yrs my Chevelle will still be worth what i got into it. The C8.... not so much. More pics: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Saw my first C8 on the street a few weeks ago. Thought it was the a Lambo at first till I had time to recognize the details. It's definitely much more of a status symbol than any Camaro will ever be.
Of course the guy driving it looked older than Joe Biden. |

I'd take the C8 all day. I'm waiting for the used C8 market to reach a price point I'm comfortable jumping in. As soon as it is, my Camaro is gone and I'm in a C8.

No matter what, it would turn out to be the ZL1 for me. Manual and I prefer the pony/muscle car looks over mid-engine exotics. If it’s my money I’m going straight to the ZL1, they are considerably cheaper right now by far. I’m seeing Vettes near or over $100k right now. So if I won or was given the choice of the 2 for free, I’m gonna go with the C8 and turn it around for a ZL1 and bank the difference.
I actually saw a C8 up close for the first time last week. I have always said I’m impressed with the performance. Look wise it doesn’t do much for me although the engine inside mid-car is damn cool. I actually prefer the c7 Z06 looks over the C8, maybe the z06 C8 looks will flip flop my thought on this. |

I need a back seat and prefer a manual so Camaro for me.
I've always liked Corvettes though and might own one some day. |
