And no worries guys. I rebuild automatic transmissions. For years I hardly saw any toyota transmissions go bad before 150k miles. However, these cars had hampsters running them. Now they are putting some hp behind these things and they are breaking badly, and at under 50k miles. AW55/50sn, U140, U151 all crap. Big difference when you have to watch quality control on 1 million cars vs 100k, and much easier to make a reliable car with 100hp than 300hp. Toyota is learning this, and the general public is getting a wake up call when they get the bill for these transmissions. (side note there are a few gm cars that used the 55/50sn, but I believe they have stopped as Nissan did)

other than that some people need to put in there place, lile alot of these young honda owners. many people think that a v8 is a gas hog cause of the past v8s. also i would take a 300hp toyota up against a 400hp american cause of weight diff.

ok not trying to hate the camaro is kick ass
Yes, so explain why Buick was ranked #1 in Long-term Reliability by JD Power and Associates over lexus and toyota. America can't build reliable cars, right?

And if you want cars that last, take a look at our '89 GMC Safari that lasted well over 290,000 miles and our '93 Saturn SW2 which lasted over 243,000 miles.

Oh, and let's not forget the millions of toyotas damaged by engine sludge. Many owners were told by toyota to screw off when they complained. And the truck frame rust problems...

AND, our floormats won't try to kill you.

To the OP: No, you weren't out of line. I would've done the same thing. You could've also reminded him that toyota trucks are among the least fuel efficient on the market.

Toyota trucks simply suck. Im loyal to the F-150 but would take a silverado or Sierra any day on the used market!

I used to like the Ram a lot but their gas mileage sucks.........
