We have run this blower up to 772/788 wheel on one of our vehicles with more to go had we desired. We've tried numerous combos to date. This blower is amazing. The which is better argument will never be over. Depends on the intended use and the drivers preference.
I love to read these comments. This forum is excellent! Glad to be a part of it. Let me know if we can assist in any way! All the best, Jared |

At what point do you think the stock connecting rods need to be swapped out? I was thinking that once you are in the 800 range, it's time to start thinking about it. What are your thoughts?

It would be intresting to see how this compares to the big whipple (2900?) or the new blower on the ZR1(170 degree helix at 2.65).
To me and this is way above my pay grade, it is a more of a cooling issue at some point.

Keeps getting bumped but it should be very close. The ZL1 2300 blower came out already which is odd because Magnuson has had the 2650 car for quite a while now. They don't release things until they are right though so i'm sure it will be money when it comes out. Personally, I think the 2300 blower is more than adequate for the vast majority of people out there. You can make 800 wheel on it and keep IAT's in check. Quote:
I have two close friends that run edelbrock blowers and they just aren't the way i'd go. This is new blower I know but I don't see any reason to expect much different. Hopefully its nice but i'm not going to assume it will be so. Let me know if we can help or answer any questions. All the best, Jared |

Are you comparing to the Gen 3 Whipple 2.9 that came out around this time last year or the Gen 2?

Gen6 Mikes just made 897/715 on the dyno at Magnuson Thursday night. I was there all week and got to see it make some serious hp/torque on the 2300 package. For those who think you have to have the 2650 just don't realize how good the 2300 is. Its a stellar Supercharge setup. Jdp is right, we don't release till it passed all the flow, dyno and on the track/street testing. The 2650 on the Magnuson car is a one off build for testing and track time. I hope someday to run the 2650 myself, I'm also waiting patiently and when it does come out, well remember your first best date. It will be like that, just can't wait to call her back for a second date.
