They have Kooks catted LTs, MSD IM, and a flex fuel tune on the car now. Looks to be making great power! I'm guessing they'll try out an aftermarket CAI next.

I'm also interested in the e85. I don't drive mine daily so I'll take a little less fuel economy to gain 30+ hp and you don't have to run e85 all the time. I'd like like to be able to run it at the strip. So, lets go.

Thanks for the praise! We are running our 6th gen on e85 but there is no option for Flex Fuel just yet. GM needs to sort a bug in the software before it can correctly work with a Flex Fuel sensor. We have no problems with the LT1 powered C7's with Flex Fuel but the 6th gen SS needs to get a software patch. Other than that, the car is running strong!

Is that something that GM is going to fix? It seems like they wouldn't really be worried about that.

What specifically is not working correctly in the current GM software? I'm a few days away from installing my sensor but if it is a no go I won't wast the time. Thanks, Tim |

Did you happen to look at the square wave on the output signal of the sensor to see what frequency was being output for the E85?

I spoke to Ryne a few days ago, still no GM fix to run a flex fuel tune. In the meantime you would just have to drain the tank and run strictly e85 and tune for it.

That sucks, not too many e85 places near me...but, there are like five places selling ethanol free 93 octane premium, go figure...the classic and exotic guys love the stuff.
