I have two personal friends with deposits down for orders. Will be interesting to see how that turns out. Both already have Hellcats as well.
I'm more interested in what parts I can scavenge like the seats and rear seat delete for the new Hellcat. I'll be very interested in what they do with pricing. Dodge shot themselves in the foot, then to add insult to injury tripped over it with the Hellcat. Claimed they'd build all the Hellcats that were ordered in 2015 and failed miserably, gave $5000 vouchers toward the purchase price of a 2016 to folks that ordered 15s but never got them built, then jumped the MSRP up $10K sending all the potential buyers to other manufacturers! That's how I ended up with a Hellcat. 2016s are languishing on dealer lots and are on fire sale. |

Hmm, so the Duster, oops Demon will possibly be 1K HP with options?
So I wonder what would be the point of modding this car? Doesn't that take some of the fun out of it? Or will people be looking for 7s. LOL. If it runs in the 9s or 8s (needs more than 1k HP I think, it will need a cage. Is that a part of the seat removal option?

840HP (probably on 100 octane)
No mention of pricing, different power levels. Did mention passenger and rear seats are optional. As well as other creature comforts like premium audio. Glad I didn't tune in on time...way too much crappy music and BSing. Should have just stuck with Tom's (?) introduction and the escape from the cage stunt which was cool.

Ok, not being a hater I have to say WOW! GM better have a comeback soon. Dodge raised the bar on the freaking planet. Not just GM. They just beat Tesla and every supercar made. They still could lose 400 pounds on that car. Then what...
The good news is they have an answer now. They just have to make the COPO Street legal. |
