Well I finally received the elusive Canadian ZL1 Convertible. It was definitely dramatic with low allocation numbers in Canada. Shout out to Saskatoon Motor Products for being very solid and up front about the purchase. They never wwaverwd. I got lucky with my timing in November when sports cars were the last thing on anybody's mind around here

I LOVE this car and feel very fortunate to own it. I will add to the commentary about pictures not capturing the essence of the ZL1. I wasn't sure I would like some of the angles from the back for example but Chevy just nailed this car right out of the park. There is so much to love about this machine it really isn't fair to pick the nits.
One thing I was not expecting is how deep the car lines look from the side and rear 3/4 view with the wider front fenders. It has so much style and backs it up with performance. Rare combination.

Yup its sold. And it was listed as black m6 no sunroof. weirdly enough. Im going through another dealer for an MY18, such a shame.

Congrats!! Glad I could help out. Congrats on being one of the 50. I found out last week that its not coincidence that Canada got 50. They asked for only 50 due to it being 50 year model and really wanted to create massive hype around this car. From what I hear it will get better in 2018. Not like the flood gates will open but better ....

Sounds like someone trying to make up an excuse why Canada got screwed with allocations.
How can you hype a car that most dealers couldn't sell or even knew about.

The availability was tight. Not everyone was able to achieve their goal of getting one. Props to those that persevered and pulled out all the stops to get one. NB2017ZL1 got one and he deserved it. He tried helping pay it forward numerous times. Hopefully everyone else gets their cars in 2018. I really hope things turn out better for everyone.

They definitely got some people pissed off but they also did generate some hype. My car hit the dealer inventory online and they were flooded with requests. It was "accidental" of course. Anyway it seemed to me the 50 count was likely a little more than a coincidence. Anyway I plan on driving and keeping this beast for a long time. What an incredible car.

Yep I am a little annoyed with the first dealer Foss for not standing behind my allocation but.....out of my hands
One nice thing is I can order the exact car I want rather than settling...
The rash is I will likely wait until next year as I'm sure we wont see any until the end of the summer...

Did a local build and gm shows 2 but that's as far as I get as they won't populate the info on the two. I not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't see the two through their app.
