I don't disagree with what you wrote... my point was more in world of aesthetic car judgments, we're over weighing those opinions of people that haven't even enough interest to see the car in person, they've only seen it on a computer screen. Social media amplifies this... and that's just the way it is. I look forward to seeing the 2020's! |

Of course "Car Guys vs. Bean Counters", I guess i'll have to repeat what i wrote above: "my point was more in world of aesthetic car judgments, we're over weighing those opinions of people that haven't even enough interest to see the car in person, they've only seen it on a computer screen. the hell are you talking about. it's may 2019. the car has been on lots for months. Same jokers were claiming last august 'we havn't seen good pictures yet' meanwhile it was out at car shows, 1,000 pictures out, youtube videos, etc.
rediculous.

The 19's face was starting to grow on me, but once I saw this redesign I still like this new look better. Glad GM made the change. I think the general customer base will like this better. The question is will sales improve at all? pretty sure they won't improve enough to matter, but any improvement would be helpful.

Calm down .... easy ... easy.. I like the 2020's.... it ok. I'm writing about the initial reaction to the 19's, and my experience that what a car looks like in person can be different from what it looks like in the media. |

I'm wondering if motortrend will do a lightning lap with the LT1 V8, although i kinda doubt it. With all seasons it might lose to the v6 1le, even the turbo.

The customer who wanted a Camaro but when he saw it he changed his mind and bought an 11 year ole design Challenger instead because it appealed more to him than the corporate flap grilled. truck grilled 2019 front end. Chevrolet over the past several years has tried to make all of their cars and trucks resemble each other and it hasn't turned out all that well for them. Keep in mind that the Challenger is an 11 year old design but is in first place in sales numbers. That should be of concern to Chevrolet. The Camaro is the hands down best corner carver of the top three cars but it is in third place in sales. That is what Chevy should be focused on. Buyers have rejected the '19 Camaro because they didn't like the direction the design team took. The 2020 is a more pleasant design and it will sell. The addition of the LT1 will also pull in some undecided buyers. Now they need to fix the torque management Nanny so the car can leave the starting line in rapid fashion without computer interference and have a drive train which can handle the launch without breaking. Not everyone wants to go on a road course. Dodge and Ford seem to have that part figured out. A street version Copo car with a vin number would sell.

Sad thing is, I paid that for my 2011 2SS when I ordered it back in the day...

Too bad no 10spd for the SS 1LE.
I still think blind spot monitoring should be standard on these cars. At least it would probably help sway non-enthusiasts. |

I prefer the bar in the middle black. Painting it just makes "the look" blend in more with the other gen5 and gen6 Camaros. Moving the bow tie up was a good decision.
