This is apparently a bone stock 11.8X pass....tough to read. I'm sure we'll hear more about it in the future.

Competition doesn't matter when it comes to mustang. Yeah, sounds arrogant, but for whatever reason people just eat up specialty model mustangs...especially anything with the Shelby name.

Why didn’t the track time board light up when he finished?

Gotcha. Another question. The light was green for a good sec.+ before he left, so how can a time be made? Or was the time started once he started moving?

The time starts once the beam breaks. He wasn't racing, so wasn't concerned with his reaction time.

With that said, Evan is commonly known as a stud when it comes to getting the best 1/4 times out of stock cars.

Time don't start till you cross the beam.

Looks like the legendary Evan Smith. Been driving professionally for years.

Form what I can see its an 11.89. Like to see the slip. Hard to believe with such a soft launch.

So reaction time on slip has nothing to do with time of run? I have never hit drag strip, so trying to get what numbers on slip mean.

Nope RT is for heads up racing, where you want to beat your opponent to the finish line.

Reaction time doesn't matter for your time correct

When heads up racing, the first one across the line wins. Because reaction time is factored in, it's possible that the slower car wins if the reaction time is significantly better. In other-words, cutting a better reaction time equates to getting a head start.

Even at 51, I can still learn something new.
