All I want to see know is Randy at the wheel of the GT350 and 350R on Laguna.

I'm positive that will happen. I expect the initial reviews to be of the R's, but eventually we should see some results from a base GT350 w/track package. Not sure if we'll get track result from the base, no option GT350.

I know I'm not saying it's not a valid comparison, both are in production right now and available to buy(order).

I laughed. How long did it take for Chevy to beat the Mustang? And how many platforms did they release in response to the Boss 302? It's a game of leap frog, first one out front than the other. If it's important to haver the best car, you'll never buy one. Buy the one you like at the moment, and enjoy it for what it is. A faster/better car is coming along, guaranteed.

Are we talking 5th gen only? Cause I remember the z28 having it way with the gt from 93-2011 and that with the camaro out of production for a few years. Now if its 5th gen only then the answer is one. The 1le was built to go against the pp gt, the zl1 was against the gt500 and the z/28 was an over bored boss fighter. Like I've said before the camaor could weight more and be slower and I'd still buy it over the mustang. I can't for the life of me get past the front of the new stang. Now I've seen some that look better with wheels and hoods but anything short of the gt350 is fugly to me. Like a chick with a butter face.

The 1LE was the only "PP" added to the SS. And it not only beat the GT PP but also the Boss. It was initially offered in 2013 MY. So 3 years and one model. As stated, all of the other models had other targets in mind.

I haven't really looked into it much but I know the LS1 fbodies dominated the 4.6 Mustangs, other than the Termi for obvious reasons. I'm not sure about how the later 4.6 Mustangs did against the LS1 fbodies.

How many platforms did they release to beat the BOSS 302? None really. The ZL1 was for the GT500. The 1LE was more along the lines of the GTPP and the Z/28 was way beyond the BOSS.

Can't agree with that whole run, but a chunk, sure.

Don't need to agree history speaks for itself. Hell 97-02 3.8 v6s could give a nonpi 4.6 all it could handle stock for stock. The lt1 beat it and the ls1 gapped it. The ls1 cars even handled that stang while it was out of production. It wasn't until the 5.0 that the mustang was ahead in gt form since 1992. I'm not bashing the mustang because I love them i just know the truth. Now the gt has had the ss's number since 2011 but that should change come late fall early winter. Track wise I don't think Chevy will offer anything other than a vette that can walk with a gt350/r. That thing is on a whole other level.

I had almost the same type of post up and I deleted it/ didn't want to argue. Guess I'll jump in if you did.

The GT couldn't get past the lt1 until 2005. It took until 2011 to surpass the ls1. No bs or bias just facts. You're looking at almost 20 years. It is what it is.

Mustang owners deserved the coyote... It's a great power plant and it was about damn time.

and then in 2012 Chevy's track focus became the Camaro's strength.
