We actually are going to increase the pricing on Satin Black again.. - The paint is incredibly more expensive than the gloss black paint we use - Wet sanding and color sanding is hit and miss. A lot of times we have to re-paint the products if it doesn't pass our QC - The overall run time on them at our factory is really high. On the flip side we are still one of the most price friendly manufactures out there for the Camaro |

Satin black installed
Had mine installed this past Monday (Dec 11th). They look fantastic and the satin black finish matches perfectly the other satin black bits on my 1LE. Fortunately, despite 7-8 inches of record December snow we received (in my neck of the woods in the Atlanta metro area) melted off the roads and dried quick enough to allow the install to go forward as scheduled so that I could include pics while still clean. Thanks C7 Carbon!

Looks great thanks for the pics . Got tracking on mine today on 11/3 order. Did you just use pop rivets or 2 sided tape and rivets? Was hoping someone would install with tape so you don't have to drill holes in the side of the stock rockers. I only fear that tape may create gaps.

I see what you mean I will probably just rivet them on and go. I am glad the quality is there and you are happy with them. They look great.

Finally got the time to get my satin black on. Very happy with the look. What I learned:
1) If you have the means to get your car elevated - do it. It can be done with a small screwdriver on the ground but it sucks. I was able to get all but 2 holes secured with the provided self tapping screws. Just clamp it on at both ends and start screw driving. 2) Rivets would probably be easier. 3) Put some blue tape on the bottom and side edges before you go to work. These will scratch very easily (I know) Sorry for the poor quality pics - no time today for better! |
