In the video with the performance pages, the time has 7:57. I also remember seeing/reading something about 757 being under the hood on one of the plates or maybe the serial number they showed. Could be indicating the horsepower

Also, the time on the Uconnect screen the time was 7:57 as well. I'm leaning towards baseline hp on pump gas

Not sure if this article from Car Buzz is a April Fools or not but it seems legit.

Pretty sure that is BS, even with race gas. 900HP and only capable of mid to low 10s would be a huge failure considering all the other innovations the car has.

Best Hellcat run with just tires is 10.62 i'm pretty sure. That is mid tens with tires.

The Demon already has tires and I wouldn't be surprised to see mid 9s on race fuel...

Most Hellcats running DRs are in the 10:70s - 10:80s range. Think about all the improvements this car will have over a stock Hellcat and we have to assume it will be running very low 10s to high 9s in the right conditions. More than enough to take out everything other than highly modded and stripped race vehicles. All this with a full warranty.

We were talking about the Demon last night at Atco. Most thought it was a Dodge track only car like the COPO. Do we know the Demon is a street legal car?

I've wondered how they can have a race gas tune from the factory and still be street legal.

I guess here is the street answer from R&T below, it is a street car. They also think the seat delete is optional to go with the available race harness. Like the gen5 Z/28, 1LE, and ZL1/1LE whch are all are pretty much track ready, the Demon is drag strip ready.

My question is will the Demon compete with the twin turbo Coyotes out of the box? They do not seem to have much trouble going into the 9s. Man that motor can rev. Almost all drag strips will chase you if you go 9s without a cage. So if it can go 9s that skill will be about useless unless you get the optional cage.

"You wouldn't want that on a supercharged, Hellcat-powered SRT Demon making, we suspect, even more than the regular Hellcat's 707 horsepower—a softer suspension would make this thing an absolute handful in anything other than a perfectly straight line, and Dodge is adamant that this drag strip dominator will be daily-driver ready."

Yea there would be 0 point to this car if it wasn't street-legal with a factory warranty (that will probably have a huge disclaimer/warranty addendum lol). And that point is already heavily dependent on the price.

And Z06'S with "heat soak" issues have put out 10.5's & 10.4's so will it be king of the streets? STOCK

To answer your question yes. We all know about the Z06's hero runs and the questions about them
