For whatever reason he decides to run the light. Totalled off his pickup, I needed a wheel, a headlight, and an alignment. He told his insurance company he had a green, and I was 100% at fault. They called me wanting my insurance information as it was out of province, and the police report didn't have it. They were not aware of dash cam footage. They called my insurance company wanting my company to pay all the damages. I sent the footage to my insurance company. His company ended up paying the whole bill plus diminished value as the truck got flagged for being in an accident. He didn't have a collision so he didn't get anything. Without a dash camera I totally would have been found liable. The new car will definitely have a camera right away.

I got pulled over one time by a municipal cop on the highway. I had my cruise set to exactly the speed limit and not even 1mph over. I had no idea why he pulled me over but he kept asking if I knew why. It eventually elevated to a shouting match between us before he finally said he clocked me at 13mph over which was impossible. If I had a dash cam at the time I could have really embarrassed him. I can't remember the last time I've been pulled over, but I can guarantee the next time I'll have a dash cam and also be recording the interaction. I think the times you need one are very few and far between, but it only takes once to make it all worthwhile. Instead of arguing you just smile and dare them to contradict you.

My 24 was a TPW 9/4 and sent to the offsite parking lot as well 9/12, my dealer was invoiced the following week I think. Don't think there is a method to the madness of delivery. Hopefully the ETA of 10/11 I got from the shipping company to dealer is correct. Wednesday I was moved from 4B00 to 4300. I called the shipping company today and was told the ETA of 10/11

How did you call the shipping company? Is it Jack Cooper? Do you have a number?

It was almost a blessing as I wanted to order another before they stopped making them and the insurance gave me only $3K less than what I'd paid for it 4 years before. The other thing is it gives me a lot of confidence in the design of the Camaro in regard to safety. The other thing is I had a dash cam so there was no question as far as who was at fault. The guy told the cops that his light was green. The car stopped at the red light stayed as a witness and the cops ticketed him, but had that not happened it would have been my word against his without a dash cam. The new one will have a dash cam installed first thing. I already have the radar detector/dash cam wiring harness ordered.
Dear god! That’s awful! Glad ur ok and it gives me confidence that the car can handle an impact that well. I see red light runners ALL the time, esp in Austin. I have made a habit of waiting for a sec at a green light to make sure all the runners are done going thru the red light. Husband is getting me a dash cam for my bday this month. That evidence is invaluable.

I'm set up with system to get a text when moved/updated. Nothing to date. Dealer was invoiced Friday 9/29. Any ideas or word on how long it takes for delivery once dealer is invoiced?

As of Tuesday it was still at the Willow storage yard in Michigan. I might give the salesman a call today and see if it moved. It's supposed to be coming by rail. I'm guessing they are waiting to ship it until Alberta is under a foot of snow so it has to sit at the dealership until spring melt...
It would be nice if we could get a VINview link that would allow us to see where the car is.

Maybe they get discounts on rail transportation if they ship a certain number of vehicles at a time. They get about 10 vehicles on a rail car, so maybe they need a hundred or so rail cars full of vehicles to make it cost effective? I'd gladly fly to Michigan and pick it up/drive it home to beat the winter weather.

My dealer was able to enter my phone number into their tracking system. I received a confirmation text and was told that any time the car moves I will be notified. Well, I guess it hasn’t moved! Lol. Still in overflow yard. Dealer can actually pull it up to see exactly where it is. Tracking device hanging on rear view mirror…

It shows In-transit on my dealer website when I checked today for my order, is this mean is shipped already?

Drove by my dealer today, and my 2SS 1LE is sitting inside. Dealer told me this weekend I can go there tomorrow to see it and drive it. They have some dealer installed items that need installed tomorrow. I believe I won’t be able to take delivery until the banks open up on Tuesday!
