What do you mean install at your own risk? We details on the warranty coverage.

I take it they probably mean that if your not the least bit mechanically inclined and mess up they wont fix or may charge for added labor

That would be a given with any part. More concerned (and think everyone is also) if they will honor the warranty if you install it yourself.

Where did you see it was confirmed it would work with 2016? I know the physical part is the same...but will the code that comes with it to use for the tune work with 2016? I am having my parts guy try to find out for sure...but he mentioned sometimes the code is locked to specific model year by part number of the actual CAI.

Dealer shows .6 labor hours to install...so i imagine if the cost of the tune update is included with the CAI purchase...couldnt cost too much to have dealer install at .6 labor hours

Waiting for someone with a 2016 to have a dealer update the tune...to see if it works successfully...

My dealership implied warranty only if installed AND purchased though them. I asked via email for clarification and haven't heard back yet.

The tune is Vin specific and I and will work on the 16. My dealer indicated there wouldn't be an issue with my warranty if I installed it myself correctly. Again, I am cool with my performance parts advisor, so it may be case by case. I have a special sticker included in my paperwork that has my tune code and VIN

I'm scheduled to have my tune tomorrow.

I see it has a throttle body spacer included like my Cold Air Inductions system that I installed on my '16 SS. This part is supposed to eliminate the whistle sound that might happen after it's installed. My '16 does have that whistle but really doesn't bother me since I drive with the windows up anyway. I might one day install it but right now it's of no big concern to me!

One other question that may or may not have been answered. Is the filter an oiled or dry unit? Thanks

Someone mentioned $120 dealer quote to install. That's way too much.

Seems to have come with the same type of spacer lip/gasket after looking at the instructions as Cold Air Inductions had shipped us later to take away unwanted whistling noise going through the TB for those with older 6th gen Camaro's.

That is the going rate per hour for labor at the dealerships now! So if that's too much for you to pay then install it yourself.
