Has anyone thought about swapping the fan motors out for the ones used in the katzkin degreez option? They can be ordered separately and would possibly function even better than the stock ones because the they have an actual cooler built into it. That way we just used their controls.
They do look like they are the same size...

This is pretty much what I'm talking about with the exception of using the katzkin degrees fans instead. They can be ordered from:

That link does not work.

You can get anything to work if you want but the 2 wire fans I linked would be the best bet if you just want them full on or off, the seat has premade shrouds and packaging dedicated to the exact size of the fans that come with the seat. So it would be plug and play.

If you would like to use the other brands fans their packaging would be different and would require work, they are also just fans so I would not see a benefit at spending 350$ when you can spend $33 for two, two wire fans.

The link works for me... idk.
The benefit would be from the fact that their system (according to them and reviews that I've read) blow pretty hard AND they actually have dedicated coolers built in; some type of Peltier cooler. I've read that they work VERY well.
That AND you just circumvent all of the wiring fun and just use their controller and switches.

You still need to wire power to the seat and to figure out how to adapt their system to the seat unless they are making a plug and play option specifically for our seats.

They are not making it as a plung and play however the opening sizes *look* to be about the same. Can someone measure it for us? I found the specs for theirs.

Every SS 1LE has the same seats, probably easiest to measure you own seats to determine fitment options.

I totally would.... but I haven't picked up my 1LE yet. Still searching for the right one (price).

Yea.. I have the engineer's curse. If I'm not thinking three steps ahead; I'm three months behind.

I looked for over six months, and as of now the prices are only going up, lowest prices I saw were right before the end of the year, and toward the end of March.
I got mine at the end of March and prices have risen since then.
At least here in the Northeast.

Shoot I've seen the exact opposite... holding my breath right now but I'll post what I buy one for when I finally do.

That's funny, I guess weather plays a bigger part up here.
I was stalking a couple of the 1LE's online, watching prices, and stopped in at a couple dealers. I jumped when prices matched the prices I had seen on '17 left overs as the '18's were rolling in last year, and when prices around here bottomed out at the end of the calendar year.
Picked up a '18 1SS 1LE with the PDR and glowtie for $39k. Right afterwards the weather started to warm up, maybe two weeks later the prices at the two dealers jumped back up about $1500-$1800.

Good luck with your search!
