Glad you guys had a nice visit & some good laughs one more time with your friend. You can carry memories of having a nice moment with him and he had the comfort & pleasure of the time with you guys. Very sad day for all but it was a good thing to do.

I tried to post this morning but could not get it to submit. Every morning around 7:00 am our time, they must do some sort maintenance to C5 and after that it won't do anything. Most mornings I can't log off, often & can't make whatever last post I try to make. I try to post here first but got distracted this morning.

I had an intense day. Hard, exhausting clients, phone ringing off the hook & lawyers on the phone wanting to do a deposition or subpoena me to court in Knoxville and want a copy of my vitae, which is code for "we plan to rip you a new one". I don't even have a vitae. I have been in the same job for 20+ years & in the same field 30+ years. I have an expanded resume that is sort of like a vitae, but really don't even know how one is supposed to be set up. I soooooooooooooooooo don't want to deal with those folks. I half jokingly asked my supervisor if I could just leave the country. Every day my job just gets more stressful. I hope I can survive 5 more years.

I go back to my doctor in the morning to see how the change in my BP & allergy meds has impacted on my blood pressure. I think it is better but the only permanent change would be a better job. Maybe I need to make myself a vitea, but even if I did, I have no idea how to go about finding a new job and the reality is there just is not anything out there for me making the same pitiful salary I make now. I just don't want to try to make it on less. Life is a bitch & then ......................................, well, you know.

The ice cream maker I ordered for my birthday came today. I can't wait to try it. My daughter also gave me a cup that you freeze the inner part, put it back together & put whatever sweetened drink in it you want & stir & it becomes a slushie or milk shake. I did that last night & it worked too good turning quickly into ice cream. It was pretty cool, literally. Here is a pic of the ice cream maker. It will make 2 quarts of ice cream in 20 min.

Also posting a pic of my daughter, mother-in-law & I at the Cheesecake Factory for our birthdays .

Then one last story & pic. A psychiatrist who has worked for/with us for years (for many years he was with Vanderbilt & did trainings for us then in more recent years, worked part time for us). He has been pretty sick for a couple years with cancer. He resisted going to a doctor too long & was so bad at work one day out clinic manager called his wife & sent him home. He was diagnosed with cancer after that. He has had better & worse times but the prognosis is apparently not good. He plans to try to work through November. He announced that a couple weeks ago then came in last week driving a brand new Stingray. I say good for him. Enjoy those last days however many there may be. So pics of his Vette.

Good morning crew. It is a bit chilly this morning. Supposed to get up to 88 today. Some of us are heading over to a local cruise-in this evening. It should be a nice day for it. I will check in with my MD this morning before a light work day. I thought I might have to get the tires rotated today on Pepper as I had a warning light that said maintenance tires but the owners manual says it means replace tires so someone must have set it wrong as there is no way that car needs new tires yet. Coffee time! HAGD & a good start to your weekend crew!

The more I see the C7's corvette, the better I like the look of them. The red is very sharp. The cheese cake looks good too.

My hubby just loves the new Stingray! Surprised he didn't get one, but he likes to go with the 2nd year, incase there's any bugs to be worked out. The 2015 will have the HD Data Recorder as an option. Then again, the C7 Z06 will be out/available in a few months, it's basically the new Stingray on STERIODS!!!......

If he loves it already, he'll be hooked like a big-mouthed bass if he ever gets to drive one hard.

Hey crew. I was bushed when I got home from the cruise-in last night & slept late this morning. Then I ate some breakfast, did some chores & spent a couple of hours making a necklace for my friend/now former supervisor. They are having a going away (sort-of) breakfast for her on Monday. She is not leaving the company but is going to a position based in a school so will not be at the clinic any more & will no longer be the clinic coordinator. She wants to leave the company like I do, but finding someplace to go is a whole different matter.

Here are a couple of pics of the necklace. I'll post up a link to pics of the cruise-in later.

Looks like a lot of work putting all them little things on a wire. They do look colorful. That's about all I can help you with.

Good morning crew. Rain & lightning here this AM. Heading out to see my dad & in-laws. Brother-in-law is supposed to grill steaks but may have to put the grill under the edge of the carport. HAGD all.

Here is how I went from pleasure to miserable in an hour:

And then there was dessert. I may not eat for the rest of the week. Well, I SHOULD not eat the rest of the week but I'm sure I will have breakfast in the morning.
