Right... They have to shit up every thread with their crap. Go buy a god damb EV. NOBODY cares...

I went down to talk to the local chevy dealer about the collectors edition. He didn't have much to tell me. He said right now I knew as much as him. He did take my number though so he can reach out as soon as he knows more. I'm pretty excited to see what it's all about.

Yes, those of us(well I'll say MOST of us)that have I.C.E Camaros or have had them for a while will most likely NEVER be buying an EV "Muscle" car anyways so why even debate it here? Go to an EV only thread then... anyways... back on track here...

Yeah, I have known a couple guys at my dealership for over 13 years and they are usually "in the know" pretty well on stuff and like your local dealership there's just not much known right now unfortunately. . All we as customers can do for now is speculate based on the images and press release they gave us.

I love my HBM 2SS.... Don't get me wrong... I'd be just fine keeping it, that said, if something sparks my interest with the 2024 Collectors, I might have to see what I can do. I would need a color very close to HBM or the Red Tintocoat, but ya... kind of excited to see what they do. I think it would be cool to own the last model year Camaro (ICE Anyway) was ever made. I won't even bother trying for a ZL1 as they already said those will be limited. (That equals expensive)

I can totally understand wanting the keep the same color or one that you know you'll like just as well. Agree that'd it be cool to have one of the last year's made!! Unfortunately I just got mine September of 2023 so I guess second to last year for me will have to do.. Not to mention I was ORIGINALLY supposed to have a 2022 delivered in May but it was stolen and wrecked FROM the plant in Lansing last year so the 2022 never made it to me... It all worked out in the end, but the journey was frustrating to say the least.Just glad to finally have it in the garage though!

Well, I wish you good luck in whatever decision you make(keeping your current one or ending up getting a new one!!!)

Not trying to dissuade you from the SS, but if I changed up my Camaro (very unlikely), I'd only consider the ZL1. The collector's edition SS won't give you that much over what you already have, and taking a bath for a few badges and the cool factor of owning the last MY, in my mind at least, is not a good deal.

Also, think about how much power and capability (say, wider wheels/tires) you could add to your HBM 2SS for the extra cash you'd splurge on the 2024.

I don't disagree with you at all. I'd say the chances I went to a 2024 collector is less than 10%. I think the chances I'd go to a HBM '18 A10 ZL1 would be a bit higher. I'd say the chances I hang onto my paid off SS with the goodies I just got... 90%+. I always get excited for the new Harley model release every year as well. Then it comes and goes and there is nothing to entice me away from my '18 CVO Street Glide.

FWIW The topic and announcement of the Collector's Edition Camaro also included the subject of what comes next for Camaro. Pretty much a sure thing it will be an EV Camaro, I would think.

Discussing EVs is IMO not out of the question, rather it's basically the whole reason the 6thGen Camaro is ending in January of 2024. Wishing it wasn't so doesn't require having no discussions about EVs and what's next

for Camaro. My $.02.

Respectfully, start an EV thread and keep the EV talk in there. Ask the mods to make it a sticky. If there is a new EV Camaro wouldn't that be a 7th Gen? or something different? There could be a whole new forum for it. Most of us on this forum do not want every other thread shitted up with same old regurgitated talking points/arguments back and forth. It's all it ever ends up being. We do know that the 6th Gen collectors edition will NOT be an EV. So keep the EV talk somewhere else. Like here

My $.02
