Wow! So if im out in California and stuck with 91 and dont want to run e-85 dude to quality and availability out here, what kind of numbers would you speculate were possible?

If you are willing to upgrade your injectors and pumps and add a Flex fuel sensor kit, you could easily crest 600 RWHP to maybe even 700 HP depending on how brave you get with boost and a good tuner.

Ted.
thanks for the info ted. sounds like fuel limitations wont be as hard as they are cracked up to be for those of us looking to be in the mid to high 600 range.

Everything can be done, if there's enough time and money.

Not true the LT4 stuff is only around 1500.00.

I just ordered it for mine will be going in with the Whipple so I can see what this whipple is capable of.

This is the part that I don't understand:

Why does ripping up tires and losing traction make for a better experience?

To be completely honest I have only done one burnout in my life (29 years of driving). I have gotten on the gas pedal on a few highways and have only done a couple light to light runs in my old Formula 350. So tire shredding is not what I'm interested in, just pure speed.

What confuses me a bit is that I've been through a lot of threads on the internet and I've seen Ted recommend Whipple, Maggie, and Procharger on several other vehicles. I know he is very knowledgeable which is why I asked specifically why Vette folks like a Centri over a PD. I think in general the answer is that the Vette folks don't feel they need all the torque with their light platform but the 6th Gen is not that far away.

I am definitely seeing that this is a personal preference over a "What's better" preference. Fit and finsh, OEM like, Sound, Warranty, Support...

I am going to see if I can get a cruise in some cars this spring before I make my decision.

Again - thank you! I really appreciate all info.
I'm not sure I have ever done a burn out either!

LMAO....

Well when I pull up to a Lambo that just passed me drop to 4th then hit it and I white smoke the tires at 80 mph I like the thumbs up then they back off in the TT car.

I have had all 3 Centri, PD, and TT.. The whine if the centri pulling into a cars n coffee usually does it for most with the drop of the jaws.. didn't care for how it drove.. The PD seemed to have the power and manners of stock feel but plenty of power on tap when needed definitely drives the nicest. The TT is just freaking crazy when the boost comes on..hate that its not loud any more.. unless your on the gas 100% then it sounds like a nothing else!

I get what ted says 8psi is 8psi but not on TT compared to PD or Centri that is false! The power comes on 4x faster the only downside is traction and you better be pointed straight! Letting off the gas is frequent never had to as much in a NA, PD, or centri setup.

I would lean towards a PD or NA.. after experiencing all especially if its an everyday driver. lucky I have a straight line car and a road course car setup.. I think the PD and NA can do anything vs my turbo car that sits in the garage not that it has to just the others are better to get around in.. I wouldn't be able to get out of the first turn with out going off the track in the TT car and the the clutch is more of a pain in traffic..

Everyone knows motorcycles are fast... on the highway i run a lot for some reason I guess they just see these bright yellow cars and assume ill race lol ..

here are some comparisons if it helps

The Eforce w headers and CAI is equivalent to 600/650 bike
The 1000s are equivalent to My TT 5th gen.. They are very surprised! usually they think I need a handicap and they give me a little finger wave like go ahead.. they never catch up if they do that!

The eforce is a tad faster on the highway than a Zl1 i wish I had video of the highway roll when the Zl1 was stock.. this is a race in Mexico when he is on the stock cam, headers, Smaller pulley and about e77 they figured..He was at 630 on the same dyno as I was at 580.. Now he is on Cam another pulley swap pushing 700 something but since my TT spools so fast its faster but not by much..

hopefully some of this helps.. the edelbrock held up to 2 20 min sessions of road course no problems what so ever... a V6 did overheat there tranny w codes and reduced power during 1st session we had no problems oil and coolant perfect never a problem however the brakes couldn't take it so that cut us into 2 20 mins sessions we could of drove all day if the brakes held up the next upgrade is to Motrul fluid and big brake kit.

When I say that 8 psi is 8psi I mean if you could make 8 psi on the same engine 10 different ways at a given RPM For example 6200 rpm the engine will make very similar power with the only change being frictional loss.

The onset of power is a totally different subject, which requires an entire discussion on it's own.

What Would Be stage 2 (assuming the first stage is a fuel pump voltage booster)in providing more fuel out of an lt1 fuel system?

The next stage of fuel supply would be the LT-4 pump and injectors..

Hi Ted,
New to NA V8's and the idea of superchargers, I ,migrated over from the import turbo world. I've been debating which supercharger to get, I have a 16SS A8 and commute about 4 hours a day - that said I still like to have fun with the car on the weekends.

Any thoughts on what charger would best fit that life style?
