Update: Well, did I ever luck out! My brother in-law came over this evening and was fully prepared to do so major work. We lifted off the supercharger and WOW did I get lucky! The bolt was about an 1/8 to 1/4 broken off above the block. I actually was able to back it out with my finger/thumb! She's all back together! With new Might Mouse Mild 800 install and plumbed! Now test in a few hundred miles and see about the oil under lid and if it's better or not. Now I just need to add coolant. I'm debating if I should go ahead and install the DSM 2g Fender tank since I have to do coolant anyway. But I'm kind of get to the point of say these remaining bolt on mods are going to be for winter projects!

Update: Got the SC coolant added and air bled out after work yesterday. I used an empty Gyeon Wet-Coat spray bottle that perfectly fit inside the fill port and then used electric tape around the bottom to keep coolant from leaking. Then I used an 8mm 6" long Hex Bit sock drive to depress the valve to allow air out and coolant in! I did this process about 5 different times of the course of the evening and after no more air burped out, I did it 2 more times to make sure all the air was out. I did all this with the car running and heat cycled the engine several times (cold, warm/hot/cooled down). I think it's good! Drove to my client this morning and all seems good! Checked again at lunch and no more air bubbles!

Well the drawers will need to drop at least once more, it's getting ported soon, then drawers will stay on after that !!!! I should have just sent it now, but the weather has been great this past few weeks for Ohio. So I hope it continues and I can get some miles on it and check the lid for oil !

I know what you mean with the weather, I think this weekend will be the last of the nice weather for me before the tires have a hard time hooking up.

Update: After putting 300 miles with 10+ hard pulls on the car since installing the new Might Mouse Mild 800. I popped the lid and to my pleasant surprise, I didn't see any oil. Also, when I start the car after doing hard pulls prior, no grayish oil smelling smoke from the exhaust at start up. So, I'll say from my hands on experience, if your not running valve covers with baffles. I feel MM does a much better job than the Elite does.

I like the Mild 800 setup for these cars that just have bolt ons, a ported blower & pulley with Flex Fuel.

Did you go with the factory line connection or the AN fitting option?

That’s good to hear, what did the oil level look like in the can? Grams or ounces?

Not MUCH! This is a 12oz bottom of a water bottle. The substance was actually more the consistency of foam or "froth" vs thick oil like the times before.

Well that’s great, looks like the system has balanced out with that set up.

Long time since posting on my thread! But, spring is arriving quickly here in the Midwest! I've had my ZL1 out everyday it's been above 40° and good weather! She's still never been in the rain, except the day I bought her drove back from the dealer! Man I love this car!

Last fall I bought a Griptech 2.3 Upper Pulley Kit from Mont Motosports. I also ordered a pulley removal tool for ZZPerformace. But, I was wondering if anyone had/knew of a link to a good video for the 6th Gen, LT4 pulley removal and replacement. I've read some crazy posts where people heat the new pull up in the oven to 500° to install it, others have used nitrogen basically to shrink the supercharger shaft etc. All that sounds like "not how you really do it" to me. Assuming the stock pulley comes off easily, then I'm not sure how to get the new one on properly!

Also, I found two local reputable shops that have Dynos! One has a Mustang Dyno where you remove the rear wheels and connect directly to the Dyno spindle. The other is the a DynoJet where your tires are on rollers. Which would be the best to get the real world, RWHP of my ZL1?

Thanks in advance for any help!

So my brother in-law, a huge car guy in his own right and a very technical and logically thinking person! Told me the process for getting my stock upper pulley off and the new Grip Tech 2.3 on! He simply said: "Send the whole thing to Greg at Kong and let him do it, and at the same time get it ported and polished."! Now, how do I argue with that logic! So, that's what I did! The supercharger is coming off tonight and I'm waiting for my shipping box to arrive from Kong. I also added a polished NM 103mm TB to replace my current 100mm Soler. I'll also be getting in touch with Ted at JRE for a "re-tune"! In the mean time while I'm waiting to get the super charger back. I'll go ahead and install the DMS 2Gal fender tank!!!

I also place the order for the AC Delco bolt and gasket kits for the supercharger and the lid.

Take Care!
