1) With the top down, why can't you see? (Raise your seat????)

2) My boys and I have been keeping a count of how many Convertible Mustangs we can find with their top down (we have two 2017 verts between us). The rule is our top has to be down (top up for weather, wind, etc.). Out of a couple dozen vert Mustangs, we could find four that had their tops down. We have come to the logical conclusion that it is just too hard to put the Mustang top up/down (so why did they buy a vert in the first place? or better, why didn't they buy the CORRECT vert?)

Funny how writers spend 30 minutes in a car and think they can dish out quality advice. The real world is a much different place.

I am coming up on two years in my vert. Fact is, I enjoy it today as much as I did the day I got her. I have not been able to say that about any previous car I have owned. And to top it all off, I have put up 22K miles...and I work from home! I will keep smiling as I put the top up/down at 30 mph...and wonder why people wasted money on a Mustang convertible they are simply not going to use.

My fear is that I’m going to wear out the mechanism LONG before anything else as I drop the to as often as I can. Sometimes multiple times a day (parking lots and such). I’m not quite to your mileage, but not too far behind, 15k.

And with the windscreen it’s almost like having a roadster.

My vert has undergone quite the transformation. Soon, my power levels will be upgraded and I should be in the 650-700whp level in the next 3-4 weeks.

Regardless, recent additions with black out lights, rock guards and LT1 Supercharged emblem. The C7 Carbon chin splitter and side skirts combined with the eibach lowering kit simply make the car look faster. A Magnuson SC actually makes the car faster.

Mine is a box-stock '17 1LT RS 3.6L. I have owned everything from a Trans Am (back in the day) to a BMW, and I find this car puts a grin on my face unlike anything I have driven. Even with the V6, I honestly think it would give my former big-block Trans Am a run for its money in overall performance. Love my convertible!

Very nice! Now put black or dark gray dual tripes on her.

My typical day. Another vert Mustang top up while mine is down...so sad.

Chalk up another one.

They must be going for that awesome notchback profile look.

One of the things I think the Camaro vert has over the ‘Stang vert in spades is the fact that top up, the Camaro vert is truer to the coupe profile. The Mustang coupe has an awesome fastback profile. But the vert looks like a boring notchback with the top up.

Previous posts have described that glitch. Apparently it seems to spontaneously return after a few drives.

We traded in our 14 BRM coupe for this 18 2SS at the end of April, so far we have put 4k on it including a trip to the Sturgis Camaro Rally. Starting to look at mods to do to make it our car.
