Was supposed to get the trans cooler line done Monday didn't have parts when i got there so they inspected and changed the oil. No phone call about no parts let's reschedule, wtf?! After that they washed it even though i said not to. Ended up unlucky needing the line replaced. Parts came in yesterday and had the swap done today. My rental car was awesome... a used 10 year old impala with 110k miles on it that was filthy inside and out ran like dog crap, shifted hard sometimes, and needed new shocks on 4 corners. I gave them crap about it and they refused to improve the situation, even though there was a dozen new traverses and malibus sitting in the rental area. I know where I won't be buying a Chevy at in the future, clearly I am of no importance to them. I mean don't click your brain on and realize I have some money to spend and i like expensive cars .

Picked it up after work... the mf's washed it again even though I dropped off a freshly cleaned and waxed detailed car that was in perfect shape this morning, even left a note on the dash saying do not wash with the dealer name on it, after i told them verbally. Lucky me their version of washing only involves getting the car wet and blowing it off, no actual scratching/cleaning. So i look it over... greasy hand prints all on the fender, hood and bumper. Worse inside the car, console lid had an oil slick from the dudes arm same for the seat, grease on the door panels and steering wheel, and smells like gas/brake cleaner, and they put 35 miles on it. I went inside and raised hell with the service manager, just like talking to a brick wall.

So I get it home and clean all that crap up, to my relief everything came off. I left the windows down in the garage to let it air out. Then I jack it up and get on the creeper to inspect the work. Air deflectors not installed properly, half of the screws into the front bumper are at a 45 degree angle, and the panel under the air deflector on the pass side is lapped over the bumper instead of under. So that explains the alignment problem, amazing. Took about 10 minutes for me to blow all that off the car and reinstall properly (love the milwakee 14v ratchet). I am totally dumbfounded by this, it takes the same amount of time to run in 10 bolts jacked up and half ass fighting the parts you misinstalled to get the screws in as it does to just do it correctly. If I can do r&r in 10 minutes on my back it should take 2 with it 6ft off the ground.

Wait until I get the survey for this visit. The worst part is I expected all of this ahead of the visit and unfortunately, i was spot on. At least they didn't f up with lifting the car and the rockers are still in perfect shape.

Up next change the oil in the wifes Malibu, and install 1LE swaybars on the ss.

Got the windows tinted with CXP (35 on sides, 20 on back and top front). Need to wash it tomorrow (just bought it two weeks ago), brake dust is ridiculous! I have the silver 5 split spoke wheels (look splotchy gray now), but traded into a set of 5 spoke low gloss black wheels to have installed soon.

Owned it for 6 months and 2 days. 3,567 miles on the odometer. Was down to 20% on the Oil Life Monitoring System.

I hate for anyone else to touch my car, but I was able to stand beside it, go under it and watch everything that was done, as it was being done. (Benefit of working at the dealership.)

Installed my Hawk Performance ceramic brake pads today. A HUGE thank-you and shout out to Forum Member skuter99, who "helped" with the install...... O.K..... I kind of assisted him. MANY thanks Scott! MUCH appreciated!

Just did 50+ miles in hard stop and go....... I came home and wiped down all four rims with a micro fiber towel.......ZERO brake dust......and I mean ZERO..........Did I mention NO brake dust?

These ceramic pads are amazing. It should be either standard equipment, or at the least an option when buying.

Any noticeable difference in stopping power? I've done so much research on brake pads my mind is turning to mush.
I keep reading that ceramics are different than semi-metallic when it comes to stopping "power". Thanks for your insight.

Didn't do a damn thing. Wife is out of town so just bored and sitting around. Pouring cats n dogs outside with the threat of severe t-storms & hail, so not taking the car out. Good times. /sigh

I read so much my head hurt as well!! I met another Forum Member in here who did this mod as well, and he swore by them. I pulled the plug and am SO HAPPY it is unreal. These pads stop on a dime. NO DUST. I easily give them a 10/10 hands down.

Nope. I only have 1000 miles on my car, as it was winter stored. Pads fit PERFECT!
