Here's a scenario:

A business is located in California. You live in California but are in Vegas for the weekend. You purchase something online and have it shipped to your home. No transaction occurred in California, so Cali collects no tax
.

Everyone in California will find someone in another state to make all of their online purchases for them. Then, the transaction will have never taken place in California if the buyer and seller are located in other states. The item gets shipped to California and the end result is the same, no internet tax.
with that scenario, california will still get the tax from you. if you have it shipped to vegas, maybe not, but usually, it goes off of where your payment mailing address is, not the shipping address.

Is that state ever gone learn? Taxes are killing that state. How about cut back on the outrageous spending that is going on. Create a responsible budget, live within that budget.

Don't be ridiculous. That would make too much SENSE. Obviously, the state of California will never understand that if you keep raising taxes, people or businesses will leave. That is what is happening. The only problem is, what happens in Cali, usually happens to the rest of the USA eventually. Can anyone say "national sales tax"? What a joke. I guess we all should work overtime , so our state and federal tax collectors can take our hard-earned dollars and waste it. Remember...millions on welfare depend on YOU. Nothing like watching more and more of my money go down the F**king toilet.

Fu@# this socialist state. I'm outta here the second it is possible.........GONE! Socialist State of Cali can kiss my a$$!!!!!!!!!!! Starting next year you can't even order ammunition on-line or mail order anymore in Cali. Businesses have left in droves because of the Air Quality nazis and the like making it to costly to operate here so the remaining businesses are forced to make up the states lost revenue with higher taxes and fees. Illegal immigration is bleeding the states social services dry. And they can't figure out how to save this shit hole. It should be obvious! I think it's about time to get out the pitchforks and torches and head to Sacramento.........

Okay.... I feel better now, Sorry.

That could go on for days.......... but

1. Medical. As a medic for ten years in Los Angeles County transporting and treating individuals who were "undocumented", I have been witness to thousands at the county hospitals receiving FREE (to them but costing you and I) medical treatment. Including emergency and non emergency. Everything from initial contact, treatment, transportation, ER services and follow ups. Runs into the THOUSANDS of dollars per individual. And if you really want to talk expenses, how about anchor babies? Labor and delivery costs, post natal care, WIC entitlements......... Man I could go on.

2. Education. We have a real problem with over crowding in our schools, especially in LA County. A large population of which are anchor babies or flat out undocumented. This increases the financial burden on our education system and our children suffer from oversized classrooms where they can't get the attention they need.

Understand, I don't have a problem with immigration as long as it is controlled so as not to overburden the system to the detriment of all.

Now, we're already off topic for this thread so if you wanna continue this PM me.
P.S.
You questioned my "expertise" but saying you worked in Social Services could mean anything from County janitor at services facility to Director. just saying
