I definitely didn't give my engine bay a little wipedown yesterday because of this thread..

I mean, still needs a good clean, to get all those nooks and crannies.. but even a quick wipedown made a difference.

LOL- I will never post a pic of my car- inside or out, again. I don't measure up!
And this really includes my garage interior. I mean, some of you guys are awe inspiringly OCD in the cleaning dept.
I say that in an envious way cuz I'm just lazy!

frankenjack don't let these guys embarrass you and write back with a little more info. We'd love to help and your Dad did leave you a very nice car that will maintain its value simply due to the model and subsequent performance of the car. But proper maintenance is key to its worth as well. TBH, it does seem to need a little TLC. More pics, current mileage, and a little idea as to your intended use would be a good start. And to help us all sleep better, in the meantime have the oil changed, add some Dexos coolant, and please change that air filter (well I'll sleep better). Looking forward to hearing back.

Yep, first thing I thought was yikes!! That engine bay and filter need a good cleaning...I'd say chances are pretty good he is not a car guy if he asked if there were headers, but its our job to turn him into one!!! OP, we all will be happy to help!!

This is what your 2020 SS should be looking like (and could be with a couple hours of serious engine detailing...)

(This is my 2020 SS... With 11,000+ miles on it...)

Mind posting some details on procedure and products to get it looking like that? I just bought my '23 2SS 1LE (7500 miles) and the engine bay needs some love.

I used a 50/50 distilled water/isopropyl alcohol mixture and microfiber towels... Once it was clean I used some Adam's Ceramic Boost and wiped everything down...

I bought my car brand new, so my engine bay never got dirty because I always kept up on it...

Hope this helps!

Helps a lot, thank you. I'm a big Adams fan also, so I'll be picking some of the boost up.
