I just did mine. Sucked a little fluid out of the master and was able to squeeze the pads back using only my fingers.
Use a plastic mallet to tap the pins back in. I used a ball peen hammer, but managed to accidentally hit the back of the caliper with the hammer....it chipped the powder coating right off (about a half square inch worth).

Show a pic of it! Doubt you need new pads. If you’re doing daily driving and pulls once in a while. It’s the track that breaks them down.

This!

Why do you think you need new pads? Have you looked at the wear indicators? These are the little right angle bend pieces designed to contact the rotor and make noise when the pads are too thin. If you can see a gap between these and the rotors, you're good.

33K miles of driving without tracking the car is way too early for the pads to be worn out. 100K is more like it.

I have a 2017 ZL1 6 speed that I bought new. I changed my pads myself a year ago with 82,000 miles on the originals. I replaced the OEM pads with OEM pads, no Powerstop pads. I have never turned my rotors, and will likely never turn my rotors. As you can guess, I do not track my ZL1. The process of swapping the pads was SIMPLE, and I'm 63 years old.

Stock pads are semi-metallic. They will have greater bite. The dust from these pads is a combination of metal from the pads and metal from your rotors. It becomes orange-brown on the wheels when it oxidizes (i.e. rusts). On a track car, this dust can be very hot when it hits the wheel, and can get into the clear coat a bit, making it a pain to remove (a.k.a. "fallout")

Z26 pads are ceramic. The dust is mostly non-metallic. it is light gray which more closely matches the wheels.
Like many here, I feel the Z26 is just fine for every-day stopping power and, without question, much cleaner.
