-2.6 front camber
-2.1 in the rear

32psi hot off the track. No more than 34psi after the first session usually.

I'm 3 seconds off SCCA winning pace (1:21) at NJMP (1:24-1:26). On these, I could not lap faster than 1:30 due to the lack of outright mid-corner grip, and I drove off the edge of the front tire running that slow ass lap time.

I check my alignment every other track event. I'm so dialed into the car that I can feel when my toe goes out through the steering wheel. With fresh alignment, the car is not confidence inspiring at anything over 140mph.

What is your pace at VIR?

My PB was 2:05 at VIR Full. I usually run 29psi cold with ECF and the tire's best window at 34-35psi hot.

That's decent pace. Maybe VIR is just easier on the tire. NJMP can be a bit abrasive after the repave.

I saw your other comments and I am wondering if you are behind the Caster Curve that's killing your tires. Now I will say the Contis are more rounded on the shoulders but you still should not have THAT much fall-off at all causing the tire to degrade that much and leaving the inside practically bare! Have you moved the coil-over to pre-load the left side of the car for NJMP? Most people do not understand the threaded adjustment is to compensate for left/right dominance on various tracks.

There are so many people I know running those tires with killer results which is why I am kinda blown away by your Alignment and have more questions than answers.

Watch this video that is very in-depth with full data in an albeit lighter GT3RS... but still the data is legit as the feedback. My Daughter tracks one of these cars and should could kick most of us on her worst day with that car... but the video shares credible info.

Thanks for the input. Actually Yes to answer your question. I went two turns stiffer on the front preload and raised it about 3mm. Trust me when I tell you the car is dialed in really good. The tire just doesn't either like NJMP T-bolt or my car is overwhelming it.

Oddly enough, the guys who recommended these to me went very quickly at NJMP Lightning. I will admit that the front tires are very responsive to turn in. It's the outright grip that is lacking and they don't like high cornering loads in faster corners.

Second, they transmit bumps straight through the carcass of the tire. With the Multimatics of the 1LE combined with the lack of compliance in the tire, the car becomes a pogo stick.

Third, the sidewalls are EXTREMELY SOFT! I drove right off the edge of the front tire at a track day coming in at 32-34psi hot. Absolutely unacceptable.

I thought I was getting a great deal given how cheap these were but they are pure and utter trash for anyone lapping at the faster end. I wish I could give them away and get some money back but they are finally starting to show their age.

The ONLY thing good about these is that they seem to last forever. Great for novice and intermediates at the slower end. These should not be considered an endurance race tire. They are straight trash. And they are "W" rated as opposed to "Y" rated. They are rated for 168mph max and they chatter like crazy at anything over 140mph. The Yokohama Advan Apex V601 has a "Y" rating and those are a 300tw street tire that can be had for $1,200/set. I hit 170mph on those and the car felt planted. A much better tire overall.

Stopping was horrendous on the ECF with ABS constantly kicking in along with ICE mode. In a couple of places there are baby chunks of rubber missing. An expensive lesson. Never again.

At a glance it looks like they were way too low on PSI. Looks like 38-40 might have helped?

It was the "wet performance" part that got my attention. The P1 does seem to answer a narrow question within the 200TW autocross tire landscape, but I don't think even Dallas Reed would say they're the tire of choice if it's wet.

I bought these tires to also set a street baseline for the VitourP1 tires that I just ordered and will be track testing in a month comparing Hoosier R7 slicks to Goodyear SC3Rs and then the VitourP1 tires.

I have provided several screenshots of the VitourP1 tires compared to the Michelin PS4s, Hoosier R7 Road Racing Tire and included the TPC OEM Goodyear SC3Rs specs to see the real world differences.

The Hoosiers (345/30R19) are the tires with the 4/32" tread depth.
You will also see a few other VitourP1s compared as they recently won an SCCA competition for wet performance, beating the Conti and PS4s for ultimate grip at full tread. Not that we try to get caught in the rain with our ZL1s but if you want max dry grip, and may live in Florida... the P1s might be your new tire of choice!

Looking forward to seeing your results with the comparison David.

I would love to know your thoughts on the new Pirelli P Zero Trofeo Track that are coming out. Maybe you can get a set of those as well.

No way would I run that much PSI.

A pic of a chunk missing.

38-40 hot, not cold.

And also looking at the inside shoulder, needs moar camber.
