That is my understanding as well. The main reason I got it though, is because I was getting sick of the lag between the time I press the gas pedal, and the car starts moving. I know, that seems a bit nit picky, but the controller helps. And the theft deterrent mode is nice too. I'm enjoying mine.

Also using the Soler controller. I usually run Sport4, I initially got it because of the ability to 'turn off' the gas pedal to use in the interim time between when I got the car, and got my IGLA installed.

Took it out, and put it back in after a couple days. Would recommend.

Have used them in the past, and would say "give it a try"; you can always sell them if you don't like 'em.

I have a Soler unit and am very happy with the result. Just using it in the Comfort setting results in a response improvement that works well for daily driving and cruising. Sport settings are a real kick.

Initially was disappointed with my SS / A10 and a Range unit to stay in 8cylinder mode helped but the Soler unit made it the car I wanted.

A real winner!

Making the throttle pedal activation curve customizable is such a low hanging fruit, it's crazy nobody at GM thought of this yet. Doesn't the Challenger have at least some basic pedal curve editing capability?

I would guess that emission and mileage restrictions have an impact.

Accidentally tried to drive off yesterday with my Soler throttle controller on the Lock setting. I was surprised at how "fast" it went - probably would have had to do a slow jog to keep up. But the pedal did absolutely nothing.
