Have the money just too chicken to drop the car off and say have at it!!! it is still in the new condition!!! HA!!
If you're referring to what I'm building, hell yeah bro. Doesn't matter if you keep it stock and clean, or COPO wild. Just have fun and run what ya got. Here's a few for progress so far. It's a bit of a budget build, but there's some must-have's that just can't be had without spending a bit.

No thread jacking intended!

You'll have to elaborate on what "puffed up dialogue" is, you sound as if my opinion has offended you somehow.

All I've said there, was it's a ridiculous price tag on those cars. My comment about "no disrespect to SVE" is just that. Someone owns SVE, they risked their money starting shop, they earned a contract to reproduce the Yenko name, they clearly do good work as they are still in business. SO, no disrespect to any of that or the hard working mechanics doing the work to pull a paycheck for their families. However, what has SVE done that no other shop has or couldn't do? Other than having a stack of Yenko stickers they can slap on whatever they want, including Corvette's, trucks, SUV's... so if they say it's Yenko-fied, it's a Yenko now. Then it heads to a dealer lot where they sprinkle some low-jack magic, sub-par ceramic protection coating, and holier-than-thou elite dealer voodoo and presto, there's another $40k-$80k market adjustment (or more, since we don't know what stages those cars are) added to the sticker. Now you have a motor swapped FI Camaro SS 1LE. $45k car, $40k-$60k worth of work.

You don't have to agree with me, it's my opinion.

In regards to my exaggeration on what I would do with $200,000 worth of car money, I'm pretty sure I could put that money where my mouth is if I had $200k to blow. Unfortunately that's just going to have to remain my untested opinion.

As far as "showing you how it's done," when I'm done with my build, I'll make a thread and post pictures and share my experiences, as so many others have. I'm probably sitting right around $12-$14k in my build budget, I'd have to go back and do maths on the sheet. Right now I'm crossing my fingers the car doesn't put down more than 750whp, otherwise it'll just end up being more of a chore to handle and less fun for the go-pedal. Gonna have blue-foot if I can put it all the way down most of the time. But I will be sure to PM you my thread when it's done. Not sure if it'll satisfy your requirement, but I'll welcome ~your~ thoughts and opinions. I am hoping to see the Dyno by August. Nothing like dyno tuning a car in peak desert heat, lol. (Trigger warning! Thoughts and opinions may be expressed in future threads, some statements may not have been fact checked, images may include but not be limited to cats laying on superchargers, reader discretion is advised!)
Ghost reread what you wrote. From an outside perspective it sounds pretty boisterous and silly. As it turns out, I would agree that a COPO car, especially a 632 COPO would be where I’d sink my dough, if I had $160K to spend on a car. Having said that, YENKO’s of today are far from a “shop build”, with Stickers.
Ed Hamburger headed up that operation back in the day and started SLP. SLP was good enough for GM. You can read about the history of those cars and over the years they morphed into YENKO. If you dig deeper than a simple Google search you can read about their evolution. It’s no simple task to get a car built and warrantable through an OEM, it’s huge actually.
Keep up your wrenching, it’s what Hot Rodding is all about.

What we put in text always sounds different in our minds than someone else's, I can see how it could sound a little sideways. I originally had to google search because I was confused as to which (COPO or YENKO) was the trim that wasn't available to the general public for ordering. Beyond that, I just have a general disgust for wallet gouging these days.
