Brand new fluid. Just got it drained and filled prior to this event. They’ve done it twice before this and haven’t had an issue.

I really wish GM hadn't made it like this to change the fluid and not have a dip stick to check the level.
Yeah I’ve been calling but the service advisor that I worked with has been out. I can also check the level myself. I suspect it’s not over filled because my trans temperatures are reasonable.

The ultimate temp is (mostly) irrelevant.
One trans may be overfilled and only see 220* to have problems. It may take another trans with a temp rise to 230* to see problems.

The first trans may have been overfilled more than the second.

It's the temp delta that matters most. The fluid will expand in volume no matter the max temp. Sure, more max temp-more expansion but if it was overfilled anyway, even by a few ounces it will expand at the same rate. And possibly expand enough to create issues.

I dug further into the PDR data and it starts shifting strangely as soon as engine oil hits 300F, regardless of trans temp. Taking it to the dealer. I’m working on a video edit as well.
Which circles back to my original thought that it was engine temperature related. Could it be a calibration difference between the ZL1 and ZLE?

Maybe when your advisor returns they can provide you with the failsafe's and at what temps they kick in, may line up with what you're seeing. No idea if this information is readily available to them though.

Supposedly this dealer sells the most corvettes in Illinois, and their foreman only works on Corvettes and ZL1’s. I’d be very surprised if it was done improperly. But it’s under warranty so I will let them figure it out. They suggested the trans going in and out and performance mode could be an electrical issue.

A10 transmission fluid level was checked at 173F and was at the proper level. What’s interesting is the GM service information is different than the information we frequently reference from Weber Auto. A TAC case was opened with GM, they viewed the video and suspect it’s a fail safe with engine oil temperatures based off of the transmission fluid being correct. They are waiting on corporate engineers. My ECM was flashed with new software in the meantime.
