I saw an LT1 review on YouTube and that one had open vents. Do the engineers ever come to any events anymore? If so, maybe someone can ask them.

Mine are open about 20%. I'll see if i can get pics added here. The blue is a cooler in the background. I'm guessing GM opened it up just slightly for a good reason. But I also can believe you've done any handling harm cutting them out fully either.

I got my car last night and noticed that it is actually open. It is just that most of that opening is closed by that plastic panel. There is an opening maybe a 1/4 inch wide. I'd think this was done on purpose to increase the speed of the air exiting. Moving air speeds up as it is constricted. Just my theory though.

Mine are closed. I will cut open only 1 side and see of the steering pulls in the highway.
