You might be lucky. If your tune happened before the code had a chance to set, you’re good anyway.

When done correctly, the code is turned to "do not report", therefore it won't even show up on the scanner. I have an original MPVI and running 4.4.4 so I still have access to that area. There are many tuners that have kept multiple versions on their computer so they can still do it.

Idk why everyone keeps parroting that you cannot disable emissions codes with latest hp tuners. It is not true. They just make you jump through an extra hoop to access them.

space your 02 sensors away from the bungs they are in. Spark plug non-foulers work for this. I've done it in the past on other cars and it worked. Not saying it's the best solution, but an option to consider.

False. On a ‘17-up (E92A) once you’ve tripped the code it’s in the memory bank until the code resolves itself. If you turn the code off BEFORE the code gets tripped, you’re good. But once it’s tripped, you can set it to “No Error Reported” and it’ll still be in permanent code status even is the CEL is off.

A ‘16 is different. Different ECM (E92) and you can do the “Write Entire” flash to overwrite the code as you alluded to.

And you’ve accepted liability. When the EPA comes knocking, HP Tuners will undoubtedly be sharing that info.

Nothing I said was false. I wasn't speaking to rectifying a set code. It is pretty common knowledge that you have to change all the the rear O2 codes (32 of them) BEFORE you install the headers. There is also, I've been told, the catalyst warmup part that you can't get to now with the new version of VCM editor.

Just an update after spending a lot on different anti foulers and 02 simulators I still get P0296. I’m guessing there is no fix for this period unless I get green cats. Is there really no one here who got long tubes after all the Tuners banned turning off the sensors?

Um ok. So these codes can easily be unchecked in the tune with HPT. You need parameter access, so anyone that takes the 10 minute free online training can get the cert to be able to unlock all those grayed out options now.

Then you just go into the tune and disable those two codes. Once you flash over, clear the DTCs and its gone.

Here's a video from GRG to show you how to get the access to those options. Its nothing to do.
