The tunnel brace is NOT the same as a DS loop, to be clear. The DS offers much more protection in the event of a DS break. I snapped my stock DS at the strip and was REALLY glad I had the DS loop.

With two solid lengths of 2.75 or 3.0 inch steel exhaust pipe directly under the entire length of the drive shaft, I would not worry about it too much.
