Just an update - power is still out here. Been out since around 1:00 or 2:00 Saturday afternoon. Thankfully our Kohler generator has been humming along without a hiccup.

Internet went down about 8:00 PM last night. That was out until about 4:00 this afternoon, so around18 hours or so. Spent a good chunk of downtime just watching movies (thank goodness I still collect physical media), and was able to watch a bunch of cool films.

Weather since late afternoon yesterday has been pretty mild, but the wind storms earlier on Saturday did a number on our area so crews are still struggling to get everything back to normal.

Sounds like a radial overhead system you are on, and / or the utility isn't the fastest at power restoration? Which electric utility is it?

Long Island NY was nice this weekend with rain yesterday and beautiful clear skies today (although a little chilly.

Central Electric Cooperative (https://www.central.coop/).

When we moved to this neighborhood a couple of years ago, we were told by our neighbors that the area tended to loose power frequently, and a lot of them had backup generators because of this. After a few times where it went down from 4-6 hours, we invested in one ourselves. Hasn't really been needed much until this incident (power still out as of this writing), but we're glad to have it, especially since my wife now works from home.
