Any of the other tires would hook better, of course. Again (my experience only) it is fine for anything after 1st gear. Absolutely useless in first gear, though.

To close the loop on the rubbing and the harness relocation:
I looked in the wheel well today with a flashlight, and there is a faint witness mark right where you'd expect it on the wheelwell liner. It is just a witness mark, nothing major (yet), and I can definitely still feel the harness right behind it. Looks like I'll be moving that harness and reshaping the liner this weekend! So, yes. It would appear prudent to relocate the harness for the G2 315/30's!
