It’s a 8 speed car. The tires do need to be replaced. Car has never really hooked that great on the street on the ET SS tire. I have gone as far to replace the stock rear shocks with Kelltrak double adjustables. Still working on finding to right set up but, I know the car needs new tires. Just wanted to know if a 26 would be any faster. Sounds like I will just keep the 28 on it and go from there. Trying to get the car closer to bottom 7s before all the humidity gets too bad in a few months. Thanks for all the reply’s.

It really depends on your power level if your running NA. If your running a blower 28", I ran the 305-35-20 (28.4) Nitto 555r2s on my NA Camaro before the blower with a best 60ft of 1.72. Still running that tire on the street since we are now making over 700 rwhp with the 2300 and THPSI PI. I ran a 27.7 inch tall Nitto on my C7 NA Corvette and best 60ft was 1.56, ran the 305-35-19 Nitto on the street. I'd still run a 28" on an NA car because looks better and not that much difference in ET and I think you'll see higher top end speeds with the taller tire. But others will disagree and that's ok also. Good luck on your choice.

If Mickey Thompson made that “28” estreet r dot bias ply as a actual 27.25-27.5 instead of a actual 28.5 we’d be golden

I saw this post and since checked the info. From what I found, this is reversed, the R is shorter. Can someone verify?

The ET Street R radial is indeed 28.1 tall.

Wow jegs is usually pretty accurate with weight, rollout, and height stating 27.8. That’s straight from mt tho so I guess it is taller
Was hoping the R was shorter Jegs R top s/s bottom

The 305 45 17 ET street SS is heavier by 5 lbs as well as being a shorter 27.9 inches versus 28.1

Gah dang look at the weight difference. Makes me wish I would've gotten the Rs rather than SS.

The height is really gonna hurt times. We’ll see how it does. Gonna load the driveline more as well. For a manual that’s not good. I’m still pouting lol I prob should’ve stuck with 26” but have the 28” sportsman’s up front already

Have you guys actually measured these? Now that Ive had these mounted and unmounted, I dont see how they are measuring over 28. I measured with a level and a tape measure. They seem almost exactly stock SS and LT1 height
